Noelvi Marte 3B | CIN
Reds' Noelvi Marte: Swats first homer of season
Marte went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a 3-2 win against the Yankees.
Marte produced the bulk of Cincinnati's offense with his two-run blast in the second inning. That was his first hit in five games since going 3-for-5 in his return from an 80-game suspension June 27. Marte is batting .167 overall since being reinstated, collecting four RBI, five runs and two stolen bases across six contests.

Mark Vientos DH | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Swats 11th homer
Vientos went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Wednesday in a loss to the Nationals.
Vientos gave New York a 3-0 lead with his two-run shot in the fourth inning, though Washington rallied late to claim victory. The long ball was Vientos' fifth over his past nine games, and he's also tallied 10 RBI during that span. The third baseman has taken hold of the primary hot corner role for the Mets with a strong stat line that includes a .297/.352/.579 slash, 11 home runs, 29 RBI and 26 runs over 159 plate appearances.

Alec Bohm 3B | PHI
Phillies' Alec Bohm: Smashes homer Wednesday
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.
Bohm was named the National League's All-Star starter at third base earlier in the day, and his performance Wednesday was a good example of what he can do. He's up to 11 homers on the year, with five of them coming over his last 15 games. The 27-year-old has added a .299/.351/.494 slash line, 70 RBI, 40 runs scored, four stolen bases, 28 doubles and a triple over 84 contests.

Luis Rengifo 2B | MIL
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Exits with injury
Rengifo was removed from Wednesday's game versus Oakland due to an apparent injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Rengifo's hand/wrist seemed to be bothering him after he fouled off a pitch in the ninth inning, and he was immediately replaced at the plate following the incident. The specifics of his injury remain unknown, but the Angels will presumably take him in for imaging and should offer more information ahead of Thursday's game.

Josh Jung 3B | TEX
Rangers' Josh Jung: Out through All-Star break
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Wednesday that Jung will be shut down until next week to allow his right wrist to rest, and the third baseman will not return until after the All-Star break, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.
Jung had his swing test Saturday cancelled due to soreness in his right wrist. While a specialist confirmed that there is no structural damage, the lingering pain has kept Jung from swinging a bat since June 20. The hope for Jung is that the extended rest will allow the pain in his wrist to subside long enough to resume swinging a bat before ramping up through a rehab assignment. The 26-year-old appeared in just four games at the beginning of the season before sustaining a fractured right wrist due to being hit by a pitch in early April.

Vinny Capra 3B | BOS
Brewers' Vinny Capra: Recalled from Nashville
The Brewers recalled Capra from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday.
With Joey Ortiz (neck) headed to the injured list, Capra will join the major-league squad in order to replenish the Brewers' infield depth. The 27-year-old has spent all season with Nashville, slashing .242/.331/.345 with 25 RBI over 302 plate appearances. Andruw Monasterio will likely start most days while Ortiz is out, but Capra may see some playing time against left-handed pitchers in place of the lefty-hitting Brice Turang.

Joseph Ortiz 2B | MIL
Brewers' Joey Ortiz: Hits injured list
The Brewers placed Ortiz on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with neck inflammation, retroactive to Tuesday.
Neck problems have caused Ortiz to be in and out of the Brewers' lineup over the past week, and he'll now officially be shut down in order to properly address the issue. Vinny Capra was recalled from Triple-A Nashville in a corresponding move, but Andruw Monasterio has been seeing regular time at third base when Ortiz sits and should continue to do so going forward.

Royce Lewis 3B | MIN
Twins' Royce Lewis: Lands on IL with adductor strain
The Twins placed Lewis on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with a right adductor strain.
The 25-year-old was removed from Tuesday's game against the Detroit due to left groin tightness, but it's now being reported as a right adductor injury. According to Dan Hayes of The Athletic, Lewis is dealing with a Grade 2 strain and will be sidelined through the All-Star break before being reevaluated. Even in a best-case scenario, he'll likely miss some time beyond that while building back up to game readiness. Prospect Brooks Lee was called up in a corresponding move and should take over as Minnesota's primary third baseman while Lewis is out.
-
Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Nationals' Nick Senzel: Taking seat Wednesday
Senzel is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
Senzel will get the day off after starting the first two games of Washington's four-game set with New York. Ildemaro Vargas will bat eighth and play third base.

Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Yankees' Jon Berti: Fields grounders Wednesday
Berti (calf) took grounders on the field at Yankee Stadium on Wednesday, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
While no date for a rehab assignment has been set, Berti appears close to being cleared for game action. The veteran utility player has been shelved since late May with a high-grade left calf strain.
