Nick Maton DH | CHW
Tigers' Nick Maton: Takes seat versus lefty
Maton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.
Maton will take a seat while the Tigers deploy a lineup of nine right-handed hitters to counter Pirates southpaw Rich Hill. The lefty-hitting Maton could soon be in danger of seeing fewer opportunities against right-handed pitching as well; he's getting on base at a .194 clip in May and is maintaining a lowly .564 OPS over 130 plate appearances on the season.

Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Powerful in return
Burger went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Guardians.
Burger took Shane Bieber deep in the fifth inning to tally his ninth homer of the season. It was his second long ball in as many games since he returned from an oblique injury Sunday, and he should get regular run as the White Sox's designated hitter so long as Eloy Jimenez (abdomen) is sidelined. Overall, Burger has hit .253/.329/.680 across 85 plate appearances, albeit with a 31.8 percent strikeout rate.

Brian Anderson RF | ATL
Brewers' Brian Anderson: Ends power drought Tuesday
Anderson went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.
Anderson provided what wound up being the game-winning hit for the Brewers after his solo blast put them up 3-2 in the sixth inning. It was his sixth homer run of the year but just his first since April 23. He's cooled off considerably since his torrid seven-game stretch to begin the year but does have four hits over his last four contests and has only struck out once over that span. For the year, the 30-year-old sits at a slash line of .245/.327/.424 with 22 RBI, 21 runs and a 16:43 BB:K over 159 plate appearances.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Goes deep in fifth straight game
Arenado went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Brewers.
Arenado took Wade Miley deep in the second inning for his eighth home run of the season and his fifth in his last five games. He now has 13 RBI since May 10. After a rough opening month during which he got off to the worst start of his career offensively, Arenado has turned things around at the plate. The 32-year-old is slashing .315/.367/.704 with six homers, 17 RBI, 11 runs and a 5:10 BB:K over 14 games in May thus far.

Emmanuel Rivera 3B | BAL
Diamondbacks' Emmanuel Rivera: Knocks in two
Rivera went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 9-8 extra-innings loss to Oakland.
All Rivera has done since being called up from Triple-A Reno at the tail end of April is hit. The utility infielder has hit safely in nine of 10 starts and is batting .370 (17-for-46) overall in 14 games. He's typically in the lineup somewhere whenever the Diamondbacks face a left-hander.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Goes deep in loss
Baty went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.
Baty got the Mets on the board in the fifth with a solo blast to right center field for his first home run since May 1. Baty has cooled down considerably, slashing just .139/.262/.250 over his last 11 games, though he does own a 5:5 BB:K. The 23-year-old continues to ride the bench a majority of the time against lefties, but that could change at any moment if he starts to heat up again at the plate.
-
Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Goes deep as pinch hitter
Escobar went 1-for-1 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Rays.
Escobar entered as a pinch hitter for the DH spot in the ninth and sent a sinker over the left field wall to make it a three-run deficit for the Mets. He now has a hit in four straight games and is slashing .429/.455/.952 over his last 22 plate appearances but continues to lose work to Brett Baty at third base. An injury in the Mets infield would likely be required for Escobar to see consistent playing time again. For the year, he's slashing just .211/.250/.437 with four homers, 11 RBI, nine runs and a 4:16 BB:K over 77 plate appearances.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Goes long twice in win
Paredes went 2-for-3 with two homers, a walk and five RBI in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Mets.
Paredes put the Rays on the board with a three-run blast to left in the third inning. He would take Justin Verlander yard again his next time up in the fifth, this time a two-run shot to put his team up 6-0. The 24-year-old lifted his slash line to .289/.368/.492 with six homers, 28 RBI, 24 runs and a 9:24 BB:K over 144 plate appearances. He's turned it up especially of late, as he's tallied eight hits and seven RBI while registering a 2:1 BB:K over his last five games.

Kyle Farmer 3B | ATL
Twins' Kyle Farmer: Opens and closes scoring
Farmer went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBI in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Dodgers.
Farmer continues to hit well since returning from a mouth injury, going 10-for-27 (370) over his last seven contests. He provided an RBI single to open the scoring in the first inning Tuesday, then gave the Twins some insurance with a two-run homer in the ninth. The infielder is up to a .293/.364/.483 slash line with three long balls, 12 RBI, 12 runs scored and two doubles through 18 games.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Swats go-ahead homer
Senzel went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Rockies.
Senzel came up clutch for Cincinnati, hitting a two-run homer off Peter Lambert in the seventh inning that plated Tyler Stephenson and gave the Reds a 2-1 lead. After a slow start to the season, Senzel has turned the corner, hitting .323 with four home runs, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored over his last 17 games. As an everyday starter toward the top of the Reds lineup, Senzel offers ample fantasy value.
