  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

    Rays' Isaac Paredes: Sitting Sunday

Paredes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Paredes is 4-for-22 over his past six contests and will take a seat for Sunday's series finale in Toronto. Taylor Walls will man the hot corner and bat sixth.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Recalled from Triple-A

Peraza was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by the Yankees on Sunday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Peraza heads up to the majors after hitting .289/.357/.316 over 38 at-bats with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. No corresponding transaction has been announced as of yet. Peraza should see playing time in the middle infield while up with the club, but he isn't in the starting lineup for Sunday's finale against the Twins.

  • Edmundo Sosa 2B | PHI

Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Out of lineup Sunday

Sosa (back) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds,

Sosa left Saturday's game against Cincinnati with discomfort in his lower back, and he'll sit for at least one more game for the series finale. Josh Harrison will handle third base duties while Alec Bohm makes the move over to first base for the contest.

  • Patrick Wisdom 3B | SEA

Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Goes deep again

Wisdom went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to the Dodgers.

Wisdom broke a scoreless tie with his 415-foot solo shot to center field in the fifth inning, and that stood as the decisive run until Los Angeles broke through with a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth. The long ball was the fifth of the campaign for Wisdom, tops on his team and tied for fifth-most in the league. The third baseman hit 53 home runs between 2022 and 2023, and he's shown so far this season that he can be a factor in fantasy for teams in need of power.

  • Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Ends power drought

Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 6-4 win over the Nationals.

Ramirez put the Guardians ahead with his fifth-inning blast, and they held on the rest of the way. It took 15 games, but the third baseman finally swatted his first homer of the season. He's hit no fewer than 23 long balls in a full-length season over the last six years, so it was only a matter of time before his power returned. Ramirez has added a solid .310/.423/.500 slash line with nine RBI, eight runs scored, four stolen bases, six doubles and a triple.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Goes yard again Saturday

Burger went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Orioles.

After he got the White Sox on the board in the fourth inning with a sacrifice fly, Burger tied the game at 4-4 in the sixth with a two-run shot off Kyle Gibson. It was the third baseman's third homer of the season and second in as many games, and Burger's .353 batting average (6-for-17) since his promotion with six RBI in seven contests is making a strong case for him to see more playing time at third base while Yoan Moncada (back) is sidelined.

  • J.D. Davis 1B | LAA

Giants' J.D. Davis: Clubs fourth homer

Davis went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and three RBI in Saturday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Tigers.

His two-run blast in the third inning off Michael Lorenzen gave the Giants a 6-1 lead, but the defense and bullpen ended up squandering it as San Francisco got walked off by Detroit in the 11th inning for the second straight day. Davis has had a great start to 2023 despite the struggles of the team around him, batting .341 (14-for-41) through 13 games with four homers and 13 RBI.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Angels' Gio Urshela: Hits grand slam in first inning

Urshela went 2-for-5 with a grand slam and an RBI single during Saturday's 9-7 loss to Boston.

Urshela smacked a grand slam off Nick Pivetta in the first inning, marking his first home run of the year, and tied the game at 6-6 with an RBI single in the fifth. He's hit safely in nine of his first 12 appearances as an Angel, posting a .347 batting average with eight RBI during that stretch.

  • Taylor Walls SS | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Swats solo homer off Kikuchi

Walls went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Saturday's 5-2 loss against Toronto.

Walls' homer broke up Yusei Kikuchi's shutout in the sixth inning. It was Walls' first homer of the 2023 campaign. The slick-fielding infielder should continue to see playing time against southpaws, but his lack of guaranteed playing time along with limited offensive upside don't appear to spell long- or short-term fantasy success.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: May return Sunday

Donaldson (hamstring) "feels completely healed" and is hoping to be activated from the IL on Sunday, Randy Miller of NJ Advance Media reports.

Donaldson began raising the intensity of his workouts earlier this week and appears to be just about past the strained right hamstring that landed him on the injured list April 8. According to Yankees manager Aaron Boone, the veteran third baseman "looks good" and is "moving well." Donaldson is eligible to be activated Sunday, though the Yankees are off Monday, so they may opt to take advantage of the extra recovery day and wait until Tuesday to bring him off the IL.
