Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA
Angels' Anthony Rendon: Sitting out Sunday
Rendon (knee) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Rendon banged his left knee on the tarp during Saturday's contest and will be held out of the lineup for Sunday's series finale, though it was apparently a pre-planned off day for the veteran third baseman. He's expected to be available off the bench and should be back in the lineup Monday at Seattle. Gio Urshela will slide over to the hot corner with David Fletcher starting at shortstop.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Out of lineup Sunday
Muncy (lower body) is out of the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Diamondbacks, Kirsten Watson of SportsNet LA reports.
Muncy was hit in the lower body by a pitch during Saturday's victory over Arizona, and the infielder is unsurprisingly out of the lineup for the series finale against the D-Backs. Chris Taylor gets the start at third base in Muncy's place, and he'll hit eighth against Zach Davies and the Diamondbacks' pitching staff.

Jace Peterson SS | ARI
Athletics' Jace Peterson: Sits again Sunday
Peterson is not in the lineup again for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Peterson sits for the second consecutive game with Aledmys Diaz hitting second and playing third while Nick Allen gets the start at shortstop and hits ninth. It appears the A's will have Peterson sit against southpaws in the early portion of the season, which limits an early meager fantasy outlook for the 2023 campaign.

Nick Madrigal 3B | LAA
Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Starting again Sunday
Madrigal is starting at third base and batting ninth in Sunday's game against the Brewers.
That's consecutive starts for Madrigal, who faced righty Brandon Woodruff on Saturday and will see lefty Eric Lauer on Sunday. It seemed like Patrick Wisdom, who started on Opening Day, would be the top option at third base, but it's Madrigal getting the chance Sunday after also playing there Saturday, though Wisdom will start in right field. Edwin Rios should also factor in against righties moving forward, making the hot corner very fluid in Chicago.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: Starting rehab assignment Tuesday
Senzel (toe) will report to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
Senzel is expected to see time at a few different positions once he returns to the Reds from the injured list, and it's likely he'll see time all over the field during the rehab assignment. Assuming good health, he should rejoin Cincinnati by the middle of April.

Gunnar Henderson SS | BAL
Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Playing shortstop Sunday
Henderson is hitting fifth and playing shortstop for Sunday's game against the Red Sox, Andy Kostka of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Henderson will play up the middle with Jorge Mateo out Sunday due a cut on his hand. The talented 21-year-old Henderson has played third and also been the designated hitter in the first two games of the series against Boston, but he could see more time at shortstop if Mateo has to miss a significant amount of time.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Gets Sunday off
Segura is out of the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Mets, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Segura will begin the series finale against New York on the bench while Jon Berti gets the hot-corner assignment and hits seventh. The 33-year-old veteran infielder has picked up one hit in his 12 plate appearances over his first three games as a member of the Marlins.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Receives Sunday off
LeMahieu is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.
The veteran infielder batted leadoff in the first two games of the season and will take a seat for the series finale after going 2-for-8 with a double, an RBI, a run and five strikeouts. Isiah Kiner-Falefa will enter the lineup in LeMahieu's place while Gleyber Torres takes over atop the order.

Alex Bregman 3B | CHC
Astros' Alex Bregman: Poor start to season
Bregman went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in Saturday's win over the White Sox.
Kyle Tucker and Yordan Alvarez have paced the Astros' offense early this season, but Bregman is now 0-for-12 through three games. He has reached base once on a walk and came around to score in that lone trip on base Friday. Bregman has posted an OPS of at least .800 in five of the last six seasons, so there's no reason to panic despite the slow start.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Nabs first steal
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with a stolen base Saturday in a 2-0 win over Seattle.
Ramirez has gotten off to a somewhat slow start in 2023 -- through three games, he's batted 3-for-13, though two of the hits have gone for extra bases. Fantasy managers who drafted the star third baseman early in the first round this season likely did so for his ability to steal bases, and Ramirez came through in that regard Saturday with his first theft of the campaign. He's looking for his third straight campaign of 20-plus steals, and that streak extends back to 2018 if excluding the dramatically shortened 2020 season.
