Cubs' Patrick Wisdom: Out of Sunday's lineup

Wisdom is not in the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Rockies.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Goes deep again Saturday

Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's loss to Milwaukee.

New York managed little offense against the combination of Brandon Woodruff and Devin Williams, but Donaldson ensured that the team didn't get shut out with his solo homer in the fourth inning. The long ball was his second in as many days and his third over his past six games. Donaldson still has just 15 homers on the campaign and has struggled with a 26.4 percent strikeout rate, which is on pace to be his worst mark over any full season in his career.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Riding pine Sunday

Urias is not in Sunday's lineup against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias is hitting .217 with two doubles, 12 strikeouts and six walks in 14 games this month. Terrin Vavra enters the lineup at second base, hitting sixth.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Another multi-hit game

Henderson went 2-for-4 with one double, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's loss to Toronto.

Henderson notched a two-run single to get Baltimore within one off righty starter Jose Berrios in the third inning. The infielder has recorded two hits in four straight games and boasts an outstanding 1.281 OPS over 27 plate appearances in his last seven games. The 21-year-old rookie has tallied four doubles, a triple and a home run in 25 at-bats during that span.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Twins' Gio Urshela: Four hits across doubleheader

Urshela went 4-for-9 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a walk as the Twins were swept by the Guardians in Saturday's doubleheader.

Urshela sparked the Twins' eighth-inning rally in the nightcap with a two-run single. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .439 (18-for-41) in that span. The third baseman is up to a .277/.325/.426 slash line with 12 home runs, 57 RBI, 51 runs scored, one stolen base, 24 doubles and three triples through 127 contests this year.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Plays well in doubleheader

Ramirez hit a solo shot in a 5-1 win in the day game. In the night game, he got aboard four times and recorded a steal. The third baseman has gone 10-for-31 (.323) across his last nine games while adding 10 walks to just four strikeouts. For the season, the 30-year-old is slashing .279/.358/.529 with 28 homers, 112 RBI, 80 runs scored and 16 steals through 141 contests.

  • Rodolfo Castro 2B | PHI

Pirates' Rodolfo Castro: Lone bright spot in loss

Castro went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Saturday's 5-1 loss to the Mets.

Castro accounted for three of the Pirates' four hits and their lone run with his ninth-inning solo shot. The 23-year-old infielder has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, going 12-for-42 (.286) with four homers, three doubles, nine RBI and six runs scored in that span. He's been trending in the right direction lately, with the hot stretch putting him at a .244 batting average, .760 OPS, 10 homers, five steals, 21 RBI, 19 runs scored and seven doubles through 56 contests overall.

  • Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Powers offense in win

Escobar went 2-for-3 with a three-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Pirates.

Escobar's blast in the second inning was all the offense the Mets needed. He's hit safely in 13 of 16 games in September, going 22-for-56 (.393) with nine extra-base hits, including six homers. The 33-year-old's strong month has restored him to a starting role at third base, and it's lifted his season slash line to .240/.292/.434 through 122 contests. He's added 18 homers, 56 RBI, 54 runs scored and 24 doubles.

  • Matt Reynolds 3B | CIN

Reds' Matt Reynolds: Three hits in defeat

Reynolds went 3-for-4 with a double and one run scored in a loss to St. Louis in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Reynolds had been dreadful in his last 13 games prior to this one, slashing .143/.211/.171 over 38 plate appearances dating back before his recent hip injury. The 31-year-old is extremely versatile, having spent time at every position except pitcher and catcher this season, though his lack of consistency at the plate limits his effectiveness.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Ramps up hitting program

Burger (wrist) ramped up his hitting program Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Burger broke his left wrist when he was hit by a pitch while playing for Triple-A Charlotte in late August. He still has time to build back up before the end of the regular season, though he's running out of time to make much of an impact.
