Tigers' Dillon Dingler: Goes deep in blowout win
Dingler went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 13-1 win over the White Sox.
Dingler was one of three Detroit players to go deep, including Kerry Carpenter, who crushed three long balls. That effort overshadowed Dingler, but the catcher has been quietly productive all year as he's taken hold of the starting job for the Tigers. The 26-year-old now has six long balls and a .794 OPS this season, compared to no home runs and a paltry .410 OPS for backup catcher Jake Rogers.

Chadwick Tromp C | BAL
Orioles' Chadwick Tromp: Sent outright to Triple-A
The Orioles outrighted Tromp to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, per MLB's transactions log.

Edgar Quero C | CHW
White Sox's Edgar Quero: Receiving evening off
Quero is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Tigers.
Quero will get some rest after he started at either catcher or designated hitter in five of Chicago's previous six contests. Korey Lee will step in behind the plate for the series opener versus Detroit.

Kyle Teel C | CHW
White Sox's Kyle Teel: Taking grounders at first base
Teel has been working out at first base recently at Triple-A Charlotte, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
Teel has yet to play a position other than catcher in pro ball, and it's unlikely he'll be moved off that position on a full-time basis anytime soon. However, with Edgar Quero also vying for reps behind the plate, it makes sense for Teel to get some reps at another position. Teel is slashing .289/.394/.491 with eight home runs and seven stolen bases over 48 games with Charlotte in 2025.

He's gone yard in three consecutive games and has the lead for most home runs in baseball with 23. In 253 plate appearances, Raleigh boasts a 1.016 OPS.

Mariners' Blake Hunt: Passes through waivers
The Mariners outrighted Hunt to Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday.
After being designated for assignment Thursday, Hunt went unclaimed off waivers and will stick around in the Mariners organization as catching depth at the Triple-A level.
