Tyler Heineman C | TOR
Pirates' Tyler Heineman: Getting regular work behind plate
Heineman will start at catcher and bat ninth in Tuesday's game against the Brewers.
Heineman will pick up his fourth start in five games and appears to have overtaken Jason Delay as the Pirates' preferred option behind the plate. Considering that Heineman is hitting .231 with no home runs and one stolen base across 117 plate appearances in the majors this season and typically hits at the bottom of the order, he'll struggle to offer much fantasy value even in leagues that start two catchers.

Jacob Stallings C | BAL
Marlins' Jacob Stallings: Sitting out Tuesday
Stallings is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.
Stallings is on a roll right now, picking up 11 hits -- including three doubles -- over his last 23 at-bats, but he will get a breather after starting eight of Miami's last 10 games. Nick Fortes will replace Stallings behind the plate.

Travis d'Arnaud C | LAA
Braves' Travis d'Arnaud: On bench Tuesday
D'Arnaud isn't starting Tuesday's game against the Phillies, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.
The veteran catcher has gone 3-for-22 with a pair of RBI in six games since the All-Star break. William Contreras will gear up behind the plate for Tuesday's series opener.

Elias Diaz C | KC
Rockies' Elias Diaz: Resting for early game
Diaz is out of the lineup for the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
Brian Serven will get the nod behind the dish for the early game, but Diaz is expected to catch for starting pitcher Jose Urena in the nightcap.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Will undergo surgery
Stephenson will undergo surgery on his broken collarbone, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.
It was announced earlier in the day that Stephenson was transferred to the 60-day injured list, and that was simply a precursor to the latest update on his status. It's unclear exactly how long Stephenson will need to recover from the procedure, but he will not be eligible to be activated from the injured list until Sept. 21.

Tyler Stephenson C | CIN
Reds' Tyler Stephenson: Transferred to 60-day IL
Stephenson (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Monday.
The Reds have not announced how long Stephenson will be sidelined with his broken clavicle, but Monday's transaction rules him at least until Sept. 21 and indicates his injury could be a season-ender. The Reds figure to mix-and-match behind the plate until either Stephenson is ready to return or the regular season comes to a close.

Joe Mack C | MIA
Marlins' Joe Mack: Overcomes hamstring strain
Mack (hamstring) has gone 3-for-15 with 10 walks, two RBI and two runs in six games since being reinstated from Single-A Jupiter's 7-day injured list July 22.
Mack was on the shelf for nearly two months due to the hamstring strain before returning to action for the Marlins' Single-A affiliate. The 19-year-old catching prospect has shown a hyper-patient approach at the plate since being activated, and his combination of high on-base percentages and burgeoning pop could make him an interesting fantasy option down the road, especially if he's able to stick behind the plate.

Brian Serven C | ATH
Rockies' Brian Serven: Connects for fourth homer
Serven went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Dodgers.
Serven will be happy to put July behind him -- he went 3-for-37 (.081) with a home run, a double, four runs scored and a 3:8 BB:K in 12 contests this month. That poor performance at the plate mostly erased the gains he'd made in June to earn a split of playing time with Elias Diaz, and it appears Serven is more or less back to a backup role. He's slashing .225/.295/.382 with four homers, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, two doubles and a triple in 112 plate appearances this year.

Joey Bart C | PIT
Giants' Joey Bart: Sits after three straight starts
Bart is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Austin Wynns will step in behind the plate for Bart, who went 2-for-10 with a solo home run while starting in each of the past three contests. Though Bart is currently operating as the Giants' No. 1 catcher, he could fall into more of a timeshare by the end of the week if Curt Casali (oblique) is cleared to return from the injured list.

Yan Gomes C | CHC
Cubs' Yan Gomes: Sitting out series finale
Gomes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Giants.
Gomes had caught three of the Cubs' last four games, but he'll take a seat in the series finale while Willson Contreras checks in behind the plate after having previously seen more opportunities at designated hitter coming out of the All-Star break. Contreras is a prime candidate to get moved ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline, so Gomes could soon have the No. 1 catcher's role all to himself.
