Tucker Barnhart C | TEX
Tigers' Tucker Barnhart: Out of Sunday's lineup
Barnhart is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Manager A.J. Hinch has alternated his starting catcher over the past five games, and that trend will continue Sunday after Barnhart went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday's contest. Eric Haase will work behind the plate and bat fifth in the series finale at Texas.

Tomas Nido C | DET
Mets' Tomas Nido: Sits out series finale
Nido is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.
Nido is on the bench for the series finale, but after starting in three of the Mets' last four games following his return from the COVID-19-related injured list, he may have overtaken James McCann as the team's No. 1 backstop. For the season, Nido has produced a lowly .221/.266/.261 line across 249 plate appearances, but the Mets put a lot of value on the work he does defensively.

Chadwick Tromp C | BAL
Braves' Chadwick Tromp: Starts up rehab assignment
Tromp (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday.
Tromp has been on the injured list since Aug. 16 with a left quad strain, but he'll likely need only a few games in the minors to get back up to full speed. With Travis d'Arnaud and William Contreras entrenched as Atlanta's top two backstops, the team doesn't have an immediate need to rush Tromp back, though he could be a candidate to join the club as a No. 3 catcher when the roster expands to 28 men in September.
