Calhoun has now been held out of the lineup in five straight contests, with the Angels facing off against left-handed staters in the last four of those games. The Angels will begin a three-game series Monday against a Toronto squad that features an all-right-handed rotation, so Calhoun should regain a regular spot in the lineup during the upcoming week.

Alvarez went 2-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Red Sox.

Alvarez accounted for the Astros' first three runs on two homers that traveled a combined 833 feet. The slugger is on a tear to open August, registering multiple hits in five of eight games while going deep four times. On the season, he is hitting .304 with 24 home runs, 62 RBI and 66 runs scored across 479 plate appearances.

Jimenez isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game versus the Rays.

Jimenez has been white-hot at the plate since joining the Orioles, going 11-for-21 with four RBI across seven games. He'll get a breather Saturday against Drew Rasmussen and the Rays, moving Anthony Santander into the DH spot and Austin Slater into right field.

O'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game versus Tampa Bay.

Stanton will get a breather to open up Saturday's festivities, though he will most likely be part of New York's starting nine during the nightcap. Aaron Judge will take his place at designated hitter during the early game, allowing Trent Grisham to start in center field and bat ninth.

Jimenez went 3-for-4 in Friday's 4-1 win over the Rays.

Jimenez already has four multi-hit efforts as an Oriole, and he played in his seventh game with the team Friday. All three of his hits in this contest were singles. Still, Jimenez appears to have been jolted awake by the change of scenery after struggling with the White Sox prior to the trade deadline. The 27-year-old is up to a .264/.315/.368 slash line with five home runs, 20 RBI, 19 runs scored, three stolen bases and 11 doubles over 72 contests this year.

Madris isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Madris will get a breather during Friday's series opener with left-hander Robbie Ray slated to take the mound for San Francisco. Andy Ibanez will step in to cover first base and bat leadoff.

Fry is out of the lineup for the first game of Friday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Fry has gone 3-for-21 with two homers through his first six games in August and will take a seat for the matinee of Friday's twin bill. Jose Ramirez is resting his legs as the designated hitter while Daniel Schneemann shifts to third base and Brayan Rocchio starts at shortstop.

Garver entered Thursday's win over the Tigers as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning and singled in his one plate appearance.

Garver was on the bench to start the night for the third time in the last four games, but he delivered when called upon in the eighth. The struggling veteran now has hits in back-to-back games, but the 0-for-19 stretch that immediately preceded that pair of contests is a microcosm of a nightmarish debut campaign in Seattle that sees him carrying a .170 average and career-low .623 OPS through 94 games.
