Lewis went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 11-9 loss to the Dodgers.

Lewis' biggest hit was his third-inning homer, part of a five-run rally by the Mariners. The outfielder is slashing .345/.420/.529 with five homers, 17 RBI, 15 runs scored and a stolen base through 23 games. He should continue to put up respectable numbers while hitting in the heart of the order.

Ohtani is not starting Monday against the Giants.

Ohtani is able to serve as the designated hitter on a more regular basis now that he's not pitching any more this season, but he won't be immune from the occasional off day. He hasn't really gotten going at the plate this season, hitting a modest .203/.271/.453. Justin Upton will be the designated hitter Monday.

Alvarez (knee) will remain on the bench Monday against the Rockies, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Alvarez lasted just two games in his return from the COVID-19 injured list before the knee soreness he battled back in spring training popped back up, and he's now been on the bench for two straight games. It's not clear when he'll return to the lineup. Abraham Toro will remain the designated hitter in his absence.

Stanton (hamstring) is expected to return in two or three weeks, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Stanton hit .293/.453/585 through 14 games this season before suffering yet another injury, landing on the injured list in early August with a Grade 1 left hamstring strain. He's expected to resume baseball activities soon, but he won't return until the start of September unless things progress faster than expected.

Jimenez went 2-for-4 with a home run, one run scored and two RBI on Sunday against the Cardinals.

Jimenez was the final batter in a series of four consecutive homers for the White Sox in the fifth inning. It was his seventh home run of the season and fourth in his past five contests. Jimenez now has a .267/.291/.573 line across 79 plate appearances to go along with 17 RBI and nine runs scored.

Ford went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an RBI single in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox.

Ford opened the scoring in the first when he knocked in Gio Urshela with a single. In the third, Ford went deep off Red Sox starter Chris Mazza. The 28-year-old Ford is up to two homers, 10 RBI, three runs scored and a .194 batting average in 11 games this season.

Lewis went 2-for-4 with two singles and an RBI in Sunday's 3-2 loss to the Astros.

Lewis gave the Mariners a 2-1 lead with a two-out RBI single in the third inning, but that would ultimately be the last run Seattle could muster in the loss. Lewis has been by far Seattle's best hitter thus far in 2020, slashing a robust .325/.400./.482 with four home runs.

Reyes went 3-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs and a single in Sunday's 8-5 win over the Tigers. He left the game after being hit on the wrist in the ninth inning.

Reyes's stellar day at the plate was soured by a Joe Jimenez pitch hitting him on his wrist in the ninth inning. X-rays on the slugger's wrist came back negative, but it's unclear if he'll be able to return to the lineup for Tuesday's tilt with the Pirates. The 25-year-old has five homers and 15 RBI while slashing an impressive .316/.366/.533 across 76 at-bats.

Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a walk and three RBI in Sunday's 8-5 loss to Cleveland.

Cabrera plated two with a single in the third inning, then brought home another run in the fifth with a single. The veteran has been struggling, as he's batting just .188 with a .655 OPS after Sunday's two-hit performance, but he should continue to get regular at-bats as the Tigers' designated hitter.

Reyes' X-rays on his wrist were negative Sunday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

Reyes was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Tigers after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch, but he escaped with nothing worse than a bruise. He'll get at least one day to rest, as Cleveland has a scheduled off day Monday, though whether or not he's ready to return Tuesday in Pittsburgh remains to be seen.
