Daniel Vogelbach DH | TOR
Mariners' Daniel Vogelbach: Heads back to minors
Vogelbach was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma following Wednesday's win over the White Sox, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Vogelbach parlayed a spectacular spring training into a big-league roster spot and even got regular playing time for a while due to various injuries. However, with Ryon Healy (ankle) nearing a return from the disabled list, the big slugger was set to be blocked from regular time. Vogelbach will mash away for the Rainiers after producing a .212 batting average and two home runs in 52 at-bats with Seattle.

Twins' Byron Buxton: Remains unable to return to games
Buxton (migraines, toe) will not return to extended spring training games Wednesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
The speedy outfielder managed to hit off a tee Wednesday, but he's apparently still not feeling good enough to return to game action. Bollinger added that the team medical staff had to drill into his left big toe to relieve pressure in it after he suffered the injury, which seems like it could delay his return to action further.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Not expecting more trouble with blisters
Ohtani's blister has calloused over, so he doesn't expect it to be an issue for the rest of the season, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
The blister was blamed for Ohtani's poor third start, when he exited after allowing three runs on four hits and a pair of walks in just two innings. It wasn't thought to be an issue for his fourth start Tuesday in Houston, though he still struggled, allowing four runs on six hits and an ugly five walks in 5.1 innings. Those two starts may have knocked a bit of the shine off the exciting young two-way player, as his ERA now stands at an unremarkable 4.43, but there's hope that with the blister issue fully behind him he can get back the dominating stuff he showed in his first two starts.

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Struggles in return to mound
Ohtani allowed four runs on six hits and five walks while striking out seven over 5.1 innings in Tuesday's win over the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.
Ohtani exited after just two innings due to a blister his last time out, and though that issue subsided, he didn't seem to have his best stuff most of the night Tuesday. The five walks, six hits and four runs were all his worst marks in any of his four starts. Even still, the 23-year-old left in line for the win and struck out seven to raise his K/9 up to 11.5. His next start on the hill figures to come next week in a home series against the Orioles.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: Solo jack in win
Canha went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Rangers.
The sixth-inning shot got the scoring started, and ultimately proved to be the difference in the 3-2 win. The 29-year-old has been red-hot since being called up from the minors, slashing .341/.400/.634. He is currently riding an eight-game hitting streak.

Twins' Byron Buxton: Won't play Tuesday
Buxton (migraines, toe) will not play in a minor-league rehab game Tuesday, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Instead, Buxton will head to extended spring training to receive treatment on the left toe he injured over the weekend after fouling a ball off his foot. Buxton is expected to play a few games at extended spring training before hopefully rejoining the Twins sometime during their upcoming series against the Reds this weekend.

Michael Brantley LF | HOU
Indians' Michael Brantley: Not in lineup Tuesday
Brantley is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Brantley is hitting an impressive .320/.346/.460 through 52 plate appearances this season, but he'll head to the bench after starting six straight games. Rajai Davis will pick up the start in left field in his place, batting ninth.

Kyle Lewis DH | ARI
Mariners' Kyle Lewis: Nearing game action at extended spring training
General manager Jerry Dipoto said Lewis (knee) is scheduled to begin a game progression at extended spring training Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Lewis continues to make solid progress in his recovery from a February knee scope, and the top prospect remains on track to join a minor-league affiliate sometime in May. While he possesses enticing physical tools, injuries have limited the 22-year-old to just 38 games above rookie ball.

Mark Canha LF | TEX
Athletics' Mark Canha: On base three times in win
Canha went 2-for-4 with a single, RBI double, a walk and two runs in a win over the Rangers on Monday.
Canha's blazing start to the season continues, with Monday's production pushing his average to .351. The 29-year-old has hit safely in seven straight games, a stretch during which he's compiled three doubles, a home run, five RBI, four walks and six runs.

Byron Buxton CF | MIN
Twins' Byron Buxton: X-rays come back clean
Buxton (migraines) received X-rays on his foot Monday, which revealed he didn't suffer any structural damage, Mike Berardino of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Buxton hit a foul ball off his foot during a rehab game at High-A Fort Myers on Sunday. Although he didn't incur a serious injury, his return from the disabled list could be delayed by a couple days. While he's eligible to be activated Wednesday, it looks like the Twins are looking to have him back for their series against the Reds, which begins Friday.
