Turner went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in a 3-2 victory against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

This was Turner's first homer since June 14, and just his second of the month. Turner hit five long balls in May, but April was a very dry homer period too, as he only had one in that month. Turner's power has been increasingly deteriorating since he smashed a career-best 27 homers in 2016. Part of his decline has been the fact he hasn't been completely healthy the last couple years. He's on pace to hit between 15-20 homers this year, and so far, he's missed minimal time in 2019 because of injury. Turner is batting .300 with eight home runs, 31 RBI, 38 runs and one steal in 260 at-bats this season.

Ohtani will throw off a mound Wednesday for the first time since undergoing Tommy John surgery in October, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Ohtani has been a lineup fixture for the Angels since being activated from the injured list in early May, and he's enjoying a quality season with a .276/.341/.493 slash line and nine home runs in 41 games. The Angels said previously that his throwing progression wouldn't cause the 24-year-old to miss time as a hitter until at least September, and there's been no indication of a change of plan to this point.

Stanton's early exit from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays was due to a right knee contusion, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Stanton left the game in the first inning with what at first appeared to be a hand injury after a slide into third base, but per Hoch, the knock is actually a right knee contusion. The slugger will get an MRI, which should provide more information as to the extent of the injury, while he should be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Stanton was removed from Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays with an apparent hand injury, Kristie Ackert of the New York Daily News reports.

Stanton appeared to have his left hand stepped on sliding into third base during the first inning and was removed a couple innings later after attempting to stay in the game. Brett Gardner took over in left field for the Yankees.

Pederson won't start against lefty Robbie Ray and the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Pederson remains in his typical platoon role. After starting four straight games at first base, he'll give way for Matt Beaty for Tuesday's contest.

Buxton (wrist) may require a short rehab assignment before coming off the injured list, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

He will take batting practice on the field Tuesday and probably again Wednesday or Thursday, ruling out an activation during this home series against the Rays. Miller notes that a rehab assignment would likely only be a game or two, but if he needs to go on one, that could rule him out through the end of the week. Make sure Buxton is out of NFBC lineups for the first half of this week, and he should probably be benched in all weekly lineups where possible.

Winker will be on the bench against lefty Andrew Heaney and the Angels on Tuesday.

As per usual, Winker won't get to start against a southpaw. Phillip Ervin gets the nod in left field in his absence.

Stanton went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's 10-8 win over the Blue Jays.

It took him all of five games after returning from his lengthy IL stint for Stanton to join in 2019's home run parade, as he launched a sixth-inning slider from Derek Law over the center-field fence. Assuming he can stay healthy, look for the 29-year-old slugger to quickly make up for lost time in the power department.

Turner will sit for Wednesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

The Dodgers play a day game Wednesday coming off a night game, so manager Dave Roberts said Turner will get a maintenance day for the midweek road tilt with Arizona. Roberts said he hasn't decided who will man the hot corner in Turner's place, but Russell Martin has been taking reps at the position and is a potential option.

Belt is not in the lineup Monday against the Rockies, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Belt will head to the bench for Monday's series opener after starting the past 10 games, slashing .118/.262/.147 with a 7:6 BB:K during that stretch. In his place, Pablo Sandoval is starting at first base and hitting cleanup.
