Belt (knee) will be activated from the 10-day disabled list prior to Tuesday night's game against the Dodgers, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Belt makes his return from the disabled list for the second game of the series in Los Angeles, although he is not in Tuesday's lineup against left-hander Alex Wood. Another lefty in Hyun-Jin Ryu (groin) is set to start for the Dodgers on Wednesday, but Belt seems likely to return to the lineup regardless with a scheduled off day Thursday.

Belt (knee) is with the Giants at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday but has not been activated, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The expectation was that Belt would be activated prior to Tuesday's game, and that could still happen before the 10:10 ET first pitch, but Belt will not start with another lefty (Alex Wood) toeing the rubber for Los Angeles. Buster Posey gets the nod at first base. Belt went 1-for-5 with a double in two rehab games with Triple-A Sacramento.

Buxton (wrist) was activated from the disabled list at Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

His latest setback ended up costing Buxton exactly two weeks. Buxton originally hurt his wrist July 12 and only played in three games upon his return in late July before renewed soreness put him back on the shelf. He has also missed time with migraines and a toe injury, but the 24-year-old still has time to salvage something from this season and get the arrow moving back upward heading into 2019.

Pederson is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Giants.

As per usual, Pederson will remain on the bench for Tuesday's game with a left-hander in Andrew Suarez toeing the rubber for the Giants. Enrique Hernandez will once again start in left field in his place, hitting fourth.

Carpenter went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, three RBI and two runs Monday in the Cardinals' 7-6 win over the Nationals.

The long ball was Carpenter's NL-leading 33rd of the season, giving him a four-homer edge over the Rockies' Nolan Arenado. Carpenter is slashing an otherworldly .332/.433/.721 since May 16, providing 30 of his home runs and scoring 69 of his 81 runs during that stretch.

Ohtani (elbow) threw a 33-pitch bullpen session at around 70 percent Monday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani stated that he felt good following his latest throwing session, as he's still rehabbing a Grade 2 UCL sprain in his throwing elbow. Although he continues to serve as a viable option in the designated hitter slot, a return to the mound prior to the end of the season isn't out of the question, especially if he continues to make solid progress. Ohtani's next step will be to face live hitters.

Pederson is not in the lineup Monday against the Giants, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Pederson will stick on the bench for a third straight game as the Dodgers face another left-hander (Madison Bumgarner) Monday. The lefty-hitting Pederson could continue to find himself on the bench in the coming week with Los Angeles set to face a few more southpaw starters.

Ohtani is not in the lineup Monday against the Padres.

Ohtani will head to the bench for Monday's series opener with no DH spot available in the Padres' National League ballpark. With the Angels playing a three-game set in San Diego, look for the 24-year-old to rejoin the starting lineup Thursday against the Rangers.

Ozuna went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and two runs in a win over the Royals on Sunday.

Ozuna helped pad the Cardinals' lead in the ninth with his two-bagger, which drove in his third run over the last four games. After recording just one extra-base hit (a double) over the first seven games of August, Ozuna has two doubles and a triple over the last four contests on his way to a .326 average for the month.

Blackmon went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in a 4-3 win over the Dodgers on Sunday.

It was Blackmon's first extra-base hit since his last homer on July 31. He currently leads the National League with 86 runs scored despite his disappointing .276 average across 453 at-bats.
