Alec Burleson LF | STL
Cardinals' Alec Burleson: Racks up three hits in loss
Burleson went 3-for-4 in Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.
There wasn't much for the hitters early in this contest, but Burleson was able to account for two of the five runs on Pittsburgh starter Paul Skenes' line. Through 10 games in June, Burleson is batting .286 (12-for-42) with five extra-base hits. He continues to be consistent for the Cardinals with a .283/.314/.455 slash line, nine home runs, 24 RBI, 20 runs scored and two stolen bases over 58 contests this season. Four of his homers have come in June.

David Peralta LF | SD
Padres' David Peralta: Not starting against lefty
Peralta isn't in the Padres' lineup for Tuesday's game against Oakland, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Peralta went 5-for-12 with two RBI and scored three runs during San Diego's last series against Arizona, but he will sit for the second game in a row Tuesday as the A's prepare to send out left-hander JP Sears to start the game. Manny Machado will fill in as the Friars' DH, allowing Donovan Solano to start at third base, batting fifth.

Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Getting breather versus LHP
Pederson isn't in Arizona's lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Angels.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Sitting versus southpaw
O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game versus Atlanta.
O'Hearn is hitting .400 with a 1.086 OPS through 30 at-bats in June but will take a seat Tuesday as lefty Max Fried pitches for Atlanta. Adley Rutschman will rest his legs as the designated hitter while James McCann starts behind the plate.

Masataka Yoshida LF | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Back from IL
The Red Sox activated Yoshida (thumb) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Yoshida has been sidelined since late April with a strained left thumb but recently was able to play in a couple rehab games with Triple-A Worcester, clearing the way for his return. He returns to a .275/.348/.388 slash line and will operate as Boston's primary designated hitter.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Records two hits in return
Machado went 2-for-4 in Monday's 6-1 win against Oakland.
Machado missed four games due to a strained right hip flexor before returning to the lineup as the Padres' designated hitter Monday. He singled in his first at-bat and reached third base on an ensuing single and walk. Machado notched another single in the seventh and again reached third on a pair of singles before being pulled for a pinch runner, though that decision didn't appear to be related to a worsening of the hip issue. It's unclear when Machado may be asked to play the field again.

Ryan O'Hearn 1B | PIT
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Drives in three in win
O'Hearn went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Monday's 5-2 win over the Rays.
O'Hearn saw a seven-game hitting streak snapped Sunday, but he bounced back quickly. The 30-year-old helped the Orioles pull away Monday with a two-run double in the fifth inning and an RBI single in the seventh. O'Hearn continues to be a force versus right-handed pitchers, slashing .287/.344/.489 with nine home runs, 24 RBI, 25 runs scored, two stolen bases, six doubles and a triple over 189 plate appearances this year in a strong-side platoon role.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY
Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton: Sitting out Monday
Stanton is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.
Juan Soto is getting a day at designated hitter as he eases back into the Yankees' lineup, and manager Aaron Boone has opted against using Stanton in the outfield, so he'll begin this one on the bench. Stanton went 0-for-14 with seven strikeouts in the weekend series versus the Dodgers.

David Peralta LF | SD
Padres' David Peralta: Sitting Monday
Peralta is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the Athletics.
With Manny Machado (hip) returning from a four-game absence Monday and serving as the designated hitter, the Padres have opted to start Donovan Solano at third base, which will bump Peralta to the dugout. Peralta went 5-for-12 with two doubles and two RBI in the four-game series against the Diamondbacks. Since his promotion to the majors May 22, Peralta is slashing .250/.351/.313 with three RBI over 37 plate appearances.
