Arraez is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.

Arraez will get his second day off since he was acquired from the Marlins earlier this month. The Padres will have Manny Machado fill the designated hitter spot while Donovan Solano covers third base. Jurickson Profar will bat leadoff in Arraez's stead.

Pederson is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds.

The lefty-hitting Pederson will head to the bench while southpaw Andrew Abbott toes the rubber for Cincinnati. Blaze Alexander will fill in for Pederson as Arizona's designated hitter.

O'Hearn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

The lefty-hitting O'Hearn will take a seat for the series finale while southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the hill for Toronto. Adley Rutschman will get a day off behind the plate and will replace O'Hearn as Baltimore's designated hitter.

Turner (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Baltimore.

Turner is one of a few Blue Jays players who have been under the weather of late, but he's the only one who will remain on the bench Wednesday. The Blue Jays are off Thursday, so Turner will aim to be back in the lineup Friday versus the Rays. Daniel Vogelbach will step in for Turner on Wednesday as Toronto's designated hitter.

Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 10-2 win over the Giants.

Ohtani jumpstarted the scoring for the Dodgers with a towering 446-foot home run in the fourth inning. He later added on some insurance with an RBI double in the seventh. Ohtani continues to be one of the most ferocious hitters in all of baseball, as he leads with 61 hits, a .361 batting average and a 1.107 OPS while tied for second with 12 home runs.

Bryant (back) went 0-for-2 with a walk in his first rehab game with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

Bryant played first base in what was his first game action since he went down with a lower-back strain a month ago. It's possible he will be ready to rejoin the Rockies for their weekend series in San Francisco. Bryant slashed only .149/.273/.255 over 13 games before getting injured.

Jimenez went 3-for-7 with a walk, a double and a solo home run across both games of Tuesday's doubleheader split with the Nationals.

The 27-year-old slugger took Trevor Williams deep in the second inning of the matinee, the first homer the Washington right-hander has served up in 2024. Jimenez could be heating up after a quiet start to the season -- over the last seven games, he's gone 7-for-27 (.259) with three doubles and a homer. Tuesday's RBI was his first since May 5, though, and through 30 contests he's slashing just .221/.276/.389 with five home runs and 12 RBI.

Stanton went 2-for-5 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

Stanton launched a 427-foot homer in the third inning off Chris Paddack for his ninth long ball of 2024. The 34-year-old still owns a huge 34 percent strikeout rate, but he's also carrying a .236 batting average and is slugging .471 -- both would be his best tallies since 2021. Stanton has hit safely in eight of his last nine games.

Burleson went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double, a stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Burleson has gone 9-for-24 (.375) over his last seven games, with five of his hits in that span going for extra bases. He also picked up his first steal of the campaign in Tuesday's win. The 25-year-old is up to a .272/.306/.437 slash line with four homers, 15 RBI, seven runs scored and five doubles over 108 plate appearances. He's operated in a strong-side platoon role for much of the season, but it's encouraging to note that two of his three hits Tuesday, including his homer, came against left-handed pitchers. With both Dylan Carlson and Lars Nootbaar under the Mendoza line, there could be an opportunity for Burleson to see more consistent playing time, especially since he's been in the lineup against the last three southpaws the Cardinals have faced.

Velazquez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Mariners.

Mariners starter Logan Gilbert was excellent until the seventh inning, and Velazquez made him pay. The homer was Velazquez's third of the year and his first since April 4. He went just 5-for-55 over a 19-game span from April 14 to May 9, but Velazquez now has a five-game hitting streak during which he's 6-for-16 (.375). Overall, he's at a .227/.292/.361 slash line with 11 RBI, 18 runs scored and a stolen base over 37 contests. With fellow corner outfielders MJ Melendez and Hunter Renfroe hitting .183 and .159, respectively, there's room for Velazquez to challenge them if manager Matt Quatraro opts for other players at designated hitter.
