Mariners manager Scott Servais said Wednesday that Winker (neck) has been placed on the 10-day injured list and is unlikely to return for the postseason, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

Seattle made the decision to deactivate Winker after reviewing the results of the MRI he underwent earlier Wednesday. The 29-year-old is on the Mariners' books for 2023 after inking a two-year, $14.5 million deal in June, but he may be on a short leash for an everyday role after struggling in his first season in Seattle. Winker will finish the 2022 campaign with a .219/.344/.344 slash line to go with 14 home runs, 53 RBI and 51 runs in 136 games.

Stanton is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers, Erik Boland of Newsday reports.

Stanton is one of five Yankees regulars who will be sitting out Wednesday with little on the line in the regular-season finale. The 32-year-old slugger endured another injury-marred campaign in 2022 and wasn't as effective as usual when he was healthy enough to play. His .759 OPS is the lowest mark of his career by 56 points.

Harper isn't in the lineup Wednesday against Houston.

Harper is resting for Wednesday's regular-season finale after he went 3-for-12 with an RBI and three strikeouts over the last three games. J.T. Realmuto will serve as the designated hitter and bat third.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Even though Cabrera was rested in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader, he'll remain on the bench as the Tigers wrap up their season and their series in Seattle on Wednesday. Unless the Tigers turn to him for a pinch-hitting appearance, Cabrera will finish the campaign with a career-worst .622 OPS over his 433 plate appearances. The 39-year-old is due $32 million in 2023, the final season of the eight-year, $248 million megadeal he signed in March 2014.

Alvarez went 3-for-5 with three doubles and two runs scored in Tuesday's 10-0 win over the Phillies.

Alvarez had a productive game Tuesday, his second with multiple extra-base hits in his last five contests. While he's gone 13 games without a home run, he's racked up seven doubles, seven RBI and six runs scored in that span. The 25-year-old slugger is up to a .304/.405/.612 slash line with 37 homers, 96 RBI, 95 runs scored, 29 doubles and a stolen base through 134 contests. His 1.017 OPS ranks second in baseball behind only Aaron Judge.

Interim manager Miguel Cairo said Jimenez won't be in the lineup for Wednesday's season finale against Minnesota, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

The 25-year-old went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run during Wednesday's 8-3 victory, which will end up being his final start of the season. Barring an appearance off the bench, Jimenez will finish 2022 with a .295/.358/.500 slash line, 16 home runs, 54 RBI and 40 runs in 84 games.

Cabrera is out of the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Mariners.

Cabrera started Game 1 and went 1-for-3 with a walk. The veteran has confirmed he will return for the 2023 season, though his fantasy appeal has mostly vanished. The former MVP has a .622 OPS this year with just five home runs and 43 RBI.
