Mariners' Jesse Winker: Extends hit streak Friday
Winker went 1-for-3 with an RBI single and a walk in a win over the Mets on Friday, extending his hitting streak to five games.
Winker's season slash line is ever-so-slowly inching its way upward, and it now stands at .207/.316/.276 following Friday's production. The outfielder has hit safely in eight of his last nine games overall; however, with only six extra-base hits, including one home run, over 136 plate appearances, he remains significantly off a 2021 pace that led to 57 extra-base knocks, including a career-high 24 homers, in 485 PAs with the Reds.

Mark Vientos 1B | NYM
Mets' Mark Vientos: Flashing power
Vientos has gone 8-for-22 (.364) over his last six games for Triple-A Syracuse with four home runs and seven RBI.
Considered one of the organization's top prospects, Vientos has had a brutal start to the season at Syracuse, but he seems to be finding his groove. Strikeouts remain an issue for Vientos -- he's fanned seven times in his last six games, and has a 30.0 percent strikeout rate through 100 plate appearances on the year -- but his .212/.320/.459 slash line will rise quickly with an extended hot streak. He posted a .282/.354/.584 line between Syracuse and Double-A Binghamton over 83 games in 2021 with 25 homers.

Giancarlo Stanton DH | NYY

This marked the third straight game in which Stanton has gone deep, and he has gone 7-for-12 with four homers, 11 RBI and six runs during the scorching stretch. The hot streak has lifted his season slash line to .284/.323/.552, and Stanton is tied for third in the league with 10 long balls on the campaign.

Red Sox's J.D. Martinez: Keeps streaks alive

Martinez's sixth-inning single extended a hitting streak to 15 consecutive games and a season-long on-base streak to 25. He's shown no sign of slowing down at age 34, posting a slash of .306/.349/.510 with 14 extra-base hits, 15 RBI and 12 runs scored over 106 plate appearances.

The veteran third baseman has gotten off to a slow start this season, slashing .211/.264/.349 with only two long balls through 121 plate appearances. However, he has picked things up of late, going 7-for-14 with five doubles and 10 RBI over his past four contests.
