Ian Hamilton RP | ATL
Yankees' Ian Hamilton: Leaves with groin tightness
Hamilton left Tuesday's game against Toronto with right groin tightness, Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star reports.
Hamilton should be considered day-to-day, but a groin injury will likely keep him out of New York's plans for a day or two, and it may necessitate a trip to the injured list for the right-hander. The Yankees announced that Hamilton will be evaluated before Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Maximo Castillo RP | PHI
Royals' Max Castillo: Optioned to Omaha
Castillo was optioned to Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.
Castillo has been solid as a multi-inning reliever for Kansas City, logging a 2.89 ERA through 9.1 innings over three appearances. In spite of his success, he will return to Omaha and be replaced on the MLB roster by Jackson Kowar.

Jackson Kowar RP | BAL
Royals' Jackson Kowar: Recalled from Triple-A
The Royals recalled Kowar from Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday.
Kowar holds a 7.84 ERA and 2.13 WHIP through 20.2 innings across 13 appearances in Omaha this season. His struggles are nothing new, as he hasn't maintained an ERA below 6.00 at any level since 2021. He has a knack for striking batters out at an above-average rate, but Kowar still holds virtually no fantasy value. Max Castillo was optioned to Omaha in a corresponding move.

Jose De Leon RP | BOS
Twins' Jose De Leon: Selected to MLB roster
The Twins selected De Leon's contract from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.
De Leon last pitched in the majors in 2021 with the Reds, recording an 8.35 ERA and 1.80 WHIP through 18.1 frames. He's done much better this season in the minors (3.62 ERA, 1.37 WHIP) and will take the place of Jorge Alcala (forearm), who landed on the injured list Tuesday.

Jorge Alcala RP | TOR
Twins' Jorge Alcala: Placed on injured list
Alcala was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday with a right forearm extensor muscle strain, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
The 27-year-old reliever holds a 6.46 ERA and 1.37 WHIP through 15.1 innings and will now be forced out of action for at least two weeks. Alcala will be replaced on the active roster by Jose De Leon, who was selected from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Liam Hendriks RP | MIN
White Sox's Liam Hendriks: Making rehab appearance Thursday
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters Tuesday that Hendriks (illness) will make another rehab appearance for Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Grifol said the team would then evaluate Hendriks after that outing. Hendriks has struggled in his rehab appearances thus far with an 11.25 ERA over four innings from five appearances. If the right-hander pitches well for the Knights on Thursday, he could be back with Chicago at the end of the week, but the team won't rush Hendriks back, as he is still a little over a month removed from his last round of chemotherapy for non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Cody Bradford RP | TEX
Rangers' Cody Bradford: Optioned to Triple-A
Texas optioned Bradford to Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.
Bradford made his MLB debut against Atlanta on Monday and the left-hander allowed six runs over five innings while picking up the loss. He could be back up at some point this summer, but it was fully expected the 25-year-old was only making a spot start. Joe Barlow was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding transaction.

Joe Barlow RP | TEX
Rangers' Joe Barlow: Recalled from Triple-A
The Rangers recalled Barlow from Triple-A Round Rock on Tuesday.
Barlow has been solid in 11 minor-league appearances this year, posting a 2.63 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 15 strikeouts through 13.2 innings. His strong 2023 campaign combined with his historically solid MLB resume could warrant him a few high-leverage outings with the Rangers. Cody Bradford was optioned to Round Rock in a corresponding move.
