Schreiber (shoulder) threw up to 75 feet on June 9, MLB.com reports.

Schreiber will continue with a daily progression of flat-ground work until he is cleared to throw off a mound. He has been sidelined for nearly a month with a right teres major strain and looks to be at least a couple weeks away from a return.

Hernandez (0-4) allowed an unearned run in one inning to take the extra-inning loss Monday versus the Reds.

The Reds were able to play small ball to scrape home a run against Hernandez, and the Royals couldn't match it in the bottom of the 10th. He's seen time both as a traditional reliever and an opening pitcher lately, but the results haven't been all that good -- he has a 5.40 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over 13.1 innings across his last 10 appearances, which includes four turns as an opener. For the season, he's posted a 4.86 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 42:9 K:BB across 33.1 innings. Hernandez's opening appearances have typically come in front of Mike Mayers, who is lined up to pitch again over the weekend versus the Angels.

Brieske (elbow) tossed a no-hit scoreless inning out of the bullpen in his most recent rehab outing Saturday with High-A West Michigan, issuing one walk in a 17-pitch appearance.

Though he was a full-time starter in the minors and majors in 2021 and 2022, Brieske has now made a pair of one-inning appearances in both of his first two rehab outings as he works his way back from the hydrodissection procedure he underwent in April to treat a nerve issue in his right elbow. The Tigers haven't clarified that they intend to bring Brieske back from the 60-day injured list as a reliever, but with rehabbing starters Tarik Skubal (elbow) and Matt Manning (foot) both on similar timelines for activation, Detroit might not have room in the rotation for Brieske anyway.

Jackson (elbow) has apparently reached the point where he is pain-free and will begin throwing next week, the team's official site reports.

The right-hander's right flexor tendon strain has been slow to improve, but Jackson is now on the precipice of a throwing program. The 28-year-old could be ready to head out on a rehab assignment by the end of the month if he remains free of setbacks.

Beeks is listed as the Rays' opening pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Athletics.

Though the team hasn't confirmed as much, Yonny Chirinos is likely to operate as a bulk reliever behind Beeks, who will be making his seventh start of the season. In his previous six starts, Beeks has covered between 1.2 and three innings on each occasion while pitching to a cumulative 2.13 ERA and 1.03 WHIP.

Lange (4-2) tossed a scoreless 10th inning and earned a win over Atlanta on Monday.

Lange needed just four pitches to work a clean inning and earned the win after Detroit walked off in the 10th. He was crushed with seven runs over his previous three outings but clearly the Tigers still trust him in a late-inning role. He's sporting a 3.29 ERA and 37:14 K:BB through 28 appearances.

Yarbrough (head) will throw a three-inning live batting practice Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

The Royals placed Yarbrough on the injured list May 8 after he got hit in the head by a line drive, and they later shifted him to the 60-day IL. He won't be eligible to return until July, but Wednesday's session will be useful in determining next steps for the 31-year-old southpaw.

Taylor (shoulder) will throw live batting practice Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

After throwing a bullpen session Sunday, Taylor will progress to facing live hitters for the first time since landing on the IL in late May. He will likely require a few more throwing sessions and a rehab assignment before making his return.

Staumont (neck) played catch Monday and will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

MRI results revealed Staumont's neck strain wasn't as severe as initially thought, so the 29-year-old reliever began throwing slightly ahead of schedule. He will likely require multiple bullpen sessions before heading on a rehab assignment, meaning he's likely to return near the beginning of July.

The Mariners selected Adcock from Double-A Arkansas on Monday, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

With Penn Murfee (elbow) headed back to the injured list, the Mariners will call on Adcock to fill Murfee's spot in the bullpen. The 26-year-old righty has been impressive in Double-A, logging a 2.08 ERA, 0.62 WHIP, two saves and 13 strikeouts in 13 innings across 12 appearances. Robbie Ray (elbow) was moved to the 60-day injured list to make room for Adcock on the 40-man roster.
