Sedlock's contract was selected by the Orioles on Saturday.

Sedlock made eight appearances (four starts) at Triple-A Norfolk to begin the season, and he posted a 5.83 ERA and 1.48 WHIP in 29.1 innings. Although the right-hander has operated in a hybrid role in the minors, he'll pitch out of the bullpen to begin his major-league career.

Brasier was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Saturday.

Brasier struggled with the Red Sox over the first month and a half of the season, posting a 6.28 ERA and 1.47 WHIP in 14.1 innings over 18 relief appearances. The right-hander was sent down last week but tossed two scoreless innings in Worcester following his demotion. He'll now rejoin Boston's bullpen after Hansel Robles (back) was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday.

Pagan struck out the only batter he faced Friday, recording his seventh save of the season in a 10-7 win over the Royals.

The Twins were up 10-5 heading into the ninth inning, but after Yennier Cano ran into trouble, Pagan got the call to put out the fire and struck out Nicky Lopez on three pitches. Rookie Jhoan Duran continues to push for ninth-inning work, but Pagan has converted seven of nine save chances on the year with a 2.25 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 22:11 K:BB through 16 innings.

Robles was placed on the 15-day injured list with back spasms Saturday, retroactive to May 25.

Robles hasn't pitched in nearly a week, and his lack of appearances was apparently due to back spasms which will keep him sidelined until at least early June. The right-hander has converted two of five save chances this year while posting a 2.65 ERA and 1.06 WHIP in 17 innings over 16 appearances. Most of Boston's other late relievers have struggled recently, but John Schreiber, Matt Barnes and Matt Strahm will likely be in the mix for saves while Robles is unavailable.

Winckowski was recalled from Triple-A Worcester to serve as the 27th man in Saturday's doubleheader against the Orioles.

After posting a 3.13 ERA and 0.87 WHIP in 31.2 innings over seven starts at Triple-A Worcester, Winckowski is expected to make his major-league debut as the starter in the second game of Saturday's twin bill. Although Saturday's outing will likely be a spot start, he could be in the mix for a more prominent role later in the year.

Schreiber allowed two runs on one hit and one walk while striking out one over two-thirds of an inning in Friday's 12-8 loss to Baltimore.

Schreiber, who has pitched well out of the bullpen, was caught up in a meltdown. He recorded a hold in the outing, but he and three other relievers combined to allow 10 runs on 10 hits and three walks over the final three innings. The Red Sox have blown 12 of 20 save chances and the staff owns a 5.40 ERA in the eighth inning or later.

Holmes struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his sixth save of the season in a 2-0 win over the Rays.

The right-hander continues to dominate, as Holmes reeled off his 22nd straight scoreless appearance. With Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) lacking a timetable for his return, Holmes will continue to fill the closer's role for the Yankees, a job he should have no trouble thriving in given his 0.36 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 26:2 K:BB through 24.2 innings.

Strahm (2-2) took the loss after blowing a save during Friday's 12-8 defeat against Baltimore. He gave up four runs (three earned) on five hits with one strikeout and zero walks in one-third of an inning.

Strahm entered with two outs during the eighth inning and was charged with blown save after giving up an unearned run on a double, a single and an error. The lefty returned for the ninth and was pulled after allowing three singles to open the frame, all of which came around to score. Strahm entered with a 1.88 ERA for the season and hadn't allowed a run since April 25, but the poor performance ballooned his ERA up to 3.68.

Cano was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul after Friday's game against the Royals, Phil Miller of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Cano allowed two runs on two hits with a strikeout and a walk over two-thirds of an inning during Friday's victory, and he'll now head back to St. Paul. The 28-year-old surrendered 11 earned runs across 7.1 innings for the Twins after being promoted May 11.

Silseth yielded two runs on six hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays. He failed to record a strikeout and did not factor in the decision.

For the second straight start, Silseth was bounced during the fifth inning. He gave up a run in each of the second and fifth frames during Friday's loss. The 22-year-old rookie has walked exactly two batters in each of his three MLB starts and he now owns a 10:6 K:BB through 14.2 innings. Silseth is expected to take the mound in Philadelphia next week.
