  • Cody Bolton RP | HOU

Mariners' Cody Bolton: Dealing with kidney stones

Mariners manager Scott Servais revealed Monday that Bolton was placed on the 15-day injured list due to kidney stones, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Bolton's injury was initially listed as a general medical issue, but Servais provided more details after the right-hander's move to the IL. Bolton has allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings this season. Austin Voth, Tyson Miller and Brett de Geus figure to see more work out of the Mariners' bullpen in Bolton's absence.

  • Miguel Diaz RP | SF

Astros' Miguel Diaz: DFA'd by Houston

The Astros designated Diaz for assignment Monday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

The move corresponds with the Astros selecting the contract of right-hander Blair Henley from Triple-A Sugar Land. Diaz was claimed by the Astros on April 4 after being DFA'd by the Tigers on March 28 following a poor spring training. He appeared in one game for Houston this season, pitching one scoreless inning April 5 against the Rangers. Diaz will be available on waivers for an organization in need of bullpen depth.

  • Blair Henley RP | HOU

Astros' Blair Henley: Contract selected for MLB debut

The Astros selected Henley's contract from Triple-A Sugar Land, and he's scheduled to start Monday against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

It remains unclear why Framber Valdez was scratched from his start Monday, but it will give Henley the chance to make his MLB debut. Henley spent last season at Double-A Corpus Christi and had a 5.06 ERA over 106.1 innings, and he allowed two earned runs with a 6:4 K:BB in five frames during his lone outing for Sugar Land this season. The 26-year-old righty doesn't have significant prospect pedigree and is facing one of the best lineups is baseball, so he shouldn't be on the streaming radar.

  • Cody Bolton RP | HOU

Mariners' Cody Bolton: Goes on injured list

Bolton was placed on the 15-day injured list by the Mariners on Monday, retroactive to April 6, with a general medical issue, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

No further details are available, but Bolton will be sidelined at least for the next couple weeks. He had allowed two runs over his first six innings with the big club this season.

  • Collin Snider RP | CHC

Mariners' Collin Snider: Out with bruised knee

Snider was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left knee contusion.

Snider suffered the injury Monday against the Brewers and will now be unavailable for at least the next couple weeks. Cody Bolton (undisclosed) was also sent to the injured list, and the Mariners reinforced their bullpen by selecting the contracts of Tyson Miller and Brett de Geus.

  • Ty Adcock RP | SD

Mariners' Ty Adcock: DFA'd by Seattle

The Mariners designated Adcock for assignment Monday.

Adcock was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma during spring training and has now been removed from the 40-man roster. The 26-year-old had a rough start to the campaign with Tacoma, having allowed two earned runs with a 2:3 K:BB over 2.1 innings.

  • Jordan Romano RP | LAA

Blue Jays' Jordan Romano: Throws live batting practice

Romano (elbow) threw a live batting practice session Sunday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Blue Jays are still determining what the next steps for Romano will be, but a rehab assignment would seem imminent. Romano has been ramping things back up after being diagnosed with elbow inflammation late in spring training. There's no timetable for his return, but one should become clearer in the coming days.

  • Yankees' Josh Maciejewski: Contract selected

The Yankees selected Maciejewski's contract from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

Maciejewski split most of last season between the Double-A and Triple-A levels and had a 2.96 ERA and 50:14 in 45.2 innings over 30 total appearances. He should fill a low-leverage relief role in his first taste of the big leagues with the Yankees.

  • Jake Cousins RP | LAD

Yankees' Jake Cousins: Sent to Triple-A

Cousins was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Monday.

The Yankees selected Cousins' contract from Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last week, and he allowed one earned run with a 4:3 K:BB over three innings during his brief time in the majors. The 29-year-old could rejoin the big club later in the season as bullpen depth is needed.

  • Yankees' Clayton Andrews: Designated for assignment

Andrews was designated for assignment by the Yankees on Monday.

Andrews was acquired via trade in February but failed to make the Opening Day roster and had allowed six runs in his first 3.2 innings at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Josh Maciejewski is taking his spot on the 40-man roster.
