  • Mets' Genesis Cabrera: Joins Mets as NRI

The Mets signed Cabrera to a minor-league contract Wednesday that includes an invitation to spring training, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Cabrera, 28, compiled a 3.59 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 50:29 K:BB over 62.2 innings with the Blue Jays in 2024. The left-handed reliever flashes plus stuff, but he's struggled with walks and inconsistency.

  • Kenny Rosenberg: Headed overseas

Rosenberg agreed to a contract with the KBO's Kiwoom Heroes on Monday, Dan Kurtz of MyKBO.net reports.

Rosenberg didn't find much success with the Angels during the 2024 campaign, posting a 6.00 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with a 17:8 K:BB across 24.0 innings. His KBO contract includes a $700,000 base salary with up to $100,000 in incentives, per Kurtz.

  • Yunior Marte RP | CIN

Mariners' Yunior Marte: Inks minor-league deal with Seattle

The Mariners signed Marte (shoulder) to a minor-league contract Saturday that includes an invitation to spring training, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.

Marte spent the last two seasons with the Phillies' organization, and in 2024 he posted a 6.92 ERA and 1.88 WHIP over 26 innings in the majors. Marte was shut down from throwing in mid-September due to a right shoulder injury, but he should be fully healthy for spring training and will look to earn a spot in the Mariners' bullpen for the 2025 season.

  • Cody Morris RP | NYY

    Cody Morris: Cut by NYY

The Yankees released Morris on Tuesday.

Morris spent all of last season with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where he turned in a 4.03 ERA and 1.39 WHIP over 38 innings. The 28-year-old should be able to land another minor-league deal elsewhere, though he'll likely need to fight for an Opening Day roster spot during spring training.

  • Red Sox's Isaiah Campbell: Quick return to Boston

Campbell agreed to a minor-league deal with the Red Sox on Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Campbell was non-tendered by the Red Sox on Friday, but just hours later this new deal was announced. He's likely to begin the season working in relief with Triple-A Worcester.

  • Bryan Mata RP | BOS

Red Sox's Bryan Mata: Staying in Boston

The Red Sox signed Mata (elbow/lat) to a minor-league contract Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Boston non-tendered Mata on Friday after designating him for assignment Tuesday, but the 25-year-old right-hander will stick around with the Red Sox organization. He'll continue to work through his rehab program for right shoulder and elbow soreness, and if he's healthy, he'll have a chance to earn a spot on the Red Sox's major-league roster in spring training.

  • Brendan White RP | SEA

Brendan White: Let go by Tigers

White was non-tendered by the Tigers on Friday.

White was sidelined by an elbow injury for much of the 2024 season throwing only a combined 7.1 innings in the minor leagues. He'll now seek a new opportunity elsewhere.

  • Ricky Vanasco RP | DET

    Ricky Vanasco: Dropped by Detroit

The Tigers non-tendered Vanasco on Friday.

Vanasco started the 2024 regular season with the Dodgers, but he was traded to the Tigers on July 29 in exchange for cash considerations. He logged an impressive 1.06 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over 17 innings in Triple-A Toledo, and he managed to make two major-league appearances with Detroit, pitching two scoreless innings. Vanasco will now enter free agency, though the Tigers may try to sign the 26-year-old right-hander to a minor-league deal with an invitation to spring training.

  • Tim Mayza RP | PHI

    Tim Mayza: Dropped by Yankees

The Yankees non-tendered Mayza on Friday.

Mayza's performance improved dramatically after signing with New York in July, though he still finished the regular season with a 6.33 ERA and 1.62 WHIP over 42.2 total innings. Once considered one of the most reliable high-leverage relievers in the game, the 32-year-old Mayza should still draw a fair bit of attention on the open market.

  • Ethan Small RP | SF

    Ethan Small: Hitting free agency

The Giants non-tendered Small on Friday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

An oblique injury prevented Small from making his first appearance at Triple-A Sacramento until July 30, and he went on to allow six earned runs in nine innings. Uninspired by his performance in the minors, the Giants will now let Small walk in free agency. The 27-year-old southpaw will presumably have to settle for a minor-league deal in the offseason.
