Sandlin earned his first save of the 2025 season in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-innings win against the Red Sox, striking out one batter in a scoreless 11th frame.

Sandlin got the call for the save opportunity in the bottom of the 11th inning after Jeff Hoffman tossed two scoreless frames. Sandlin was able to get the job done in just nine pitches (seven strikes) to earn his first save of 2025 and second in his major-league career. Across his first five outings of the season, Sandlin has given up one run on two hits and four walks while striking out six in five frames.

Holton (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits across 1.2 innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Yankees. He struck out two.

Holton relieved Jack Flaherty, who blanked New York across 5.1 innings, and the former allowed a two-run home run to Ben Rice that broke a 0-0 tie. Despite the hiccup, Holton has been dependable for the Tigers so far, as this was his first time allowing a run through five appearances. The lefty now has a 2.84 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and six strikeouts across 6.1 innings, and he should remain a key reliever in Detroit moving forward.

Clase earned his first save of the season in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the White Sox. He gave up one run on three hits and one walk while striking out two in the ninth inning.

Clase came into the ninth inning Wednesday for his first save opportunity since Opening Day against the Royals, but he put himself in hot water by loading the bases after yielding two singles and a walk. Clase gave up a run on a Miguel Vargas RBI single, but it ended up being the final play of the game after Mike Tauchman came up hobbling while rounding third base and was tagged out by Austin Hedges. It took six outings for Clase to earn his first save of 2025 after registering 47 saves in 2024, which led the American League and ranked second in the majors behind Ryan Helsley (49).

Santillan blew the save after giving up one run on one hit and no walks in 1.1 innings during Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning loss to the Giants.

After recording two outs to close the seventh inning, Santillan served up a first-pitch fastball for a game-tying solo home run to Wilmer Flores. Santillan is working alongside Emilio Pagan for save opportunities in the absence of Alexis Diaz (hamstring), and the former has logged three holds while converting one of his two save chances to open the campaign. That said, Santillan does boast a 1.23 ERA and 0.68 WHIP with seven punchouts across 7.1 innings, and he should remain in the mix for ninth-inning work until Diaz rejoins the team.

Suarez earned the save in Wednesday's 2-1 win over the Athletics, working around a walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

Suarez issued a leadoff walk to Tyler Soderstrom, though he'd need just two more pitches to close out the win, inducing a double play off the bat of Shea Langeliers before retiring JJ Bleday on his subsequent offering. Suarez now leads the majors with six saves -- he's yet to allow a run or a hit through his first six innings.

Treinen earned the save in Wednesday's 6-5 win over Washington after allowing one hit and one walk in a scoreless ninth inning.

It wasn't easy for the veteran right-hander, who allowed the potential tying and go-ahead runs to get into scoring position before getting James Wood to ground out to end the game. Treinen has now converted two of his three save chances to go with two holds thus far, posting a 3.00 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB across six innings. Although southpaw Tanner Scott pitched the seventh inning Wednesday, it's worth noting he was summoned to protect a one-run lead against the top three members of Washington's batting order, two of which were left-handed hitters. The Dodgers figure to continue taking a committee approach based on matchups for ninth-inning work going forward, though Scott is the most desirable of the team's relievers from a fantasy perspective.

Knack didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against the Nationals after allowing five runs on four hits and four walks in 2.1 innings. He struck out two.

Filling in for the injured Blake Snell (shoulder), Knack was working with a 4-0 lead in the first inning but gave up three runs in the bottom of the frame, highlighted by a CJ Abrams leadoff solo shot. After Luis Garcia chased Knack from the game with an RBI double in the third, Alex Call plated an inherited runner on a sacrifice fly. According to Sonja Chen of MLB.com, Knack will get another chance to start in what should be a favorable bounce-back opportunity at home against Colorado next week.

Leiter recorded the final out of Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Tigers to record his first save of the season.

He wasn't expected to get any work in when Devin Williams was called upon to protect a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning, but two hits, two walks and a wild pitch led to three runs and forced Leiter onto the mound. The veteran right-hander got the job done on two pitches as he induced a pop-up from Justyn-Henry Malloy. Luke Weaver had worked the eighth inning, so Leiter's usage isn't an indication he's moved up in the Yankees' bullpen hierarchy. Leiter has a 5.79 ERA through 4.2 innings to begin the season, but he's been scored upon in only one of his six appearances, and his 7:2 K:BB is a better reflection of his performance so far in 2025. He has two holds and a win in addition to Wednesday's bonus save.

Williams gave up three runs on two hits and two walks over two-thirds of an inning in Wednesday's 4-3 win over the Tigers. He struck out two.

Brought in to protect a 4-0 lead in the ninth inning, Williams instead made a mess of things before Mark Leiter had to replace him and record the final out for his first save of the year. While it doesn't go down as a blown save or a loss for the Airbender, it's still the third time in his first four appearances as a Yankee that Williams has been charged with at least one run, leading to a 12.00 ERA and 5:4 K:BB through his first three innings in pinstripes. The average velocity on his fastball is down slightly to begin the season, but he topped out at 95.3 mph Wednesday on a strikeout of Colt Keith, and the movement on his elite changeup is in its usual range. All indicators suggest that Williams' numbers will quickly return to normal once the weather warms up.

Lawrence (1-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-innings win over the Cardinals, giving up a hit and a walk while striking out two over 1.2 scoreless innings of relief.

The former Rockie has had a strong start to his first season at a lower altitude. Through his first six appearances as a Pirate, Lawrence has a 1.35 ERA and 9:4 K:BB in 6.2 innings, adding a hold to Wednesday's win. With David Bednar trying to work things out at Triple-A and Colin Holderman (knee) on the shelf, Lawrence is Pittsburgh's top high-leverage option from the right side behind current closer Dennis Santana.
