Jarvis (1-2) picked up the win over the Dodgers on Wednesday, pitching 2.1 scoreless innings in relief while allowing one hit and two walks. He struck out one.

Jarvis relieved Cristian Mena to open the bottom of the fourth and managed to hold the Dodgers' lineup scoreless over the next 2.1 innings despite allowing a baserunner in each frame. Arizona would go on to add four runs over that stretch, helping the right-hander earn his first win of the campaign. Though Jarvis allowed two runs in his previous relief appearance June 27 against the Twins, he's actually held opposing teams scoreless in four of his last five outings.

The Marlins selected Andriese's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Thursday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Andriese was removed from the 40-man roster back in April following a brief stint in the majors but has made his way back onto the roster. He'll provide Miami's bullpen with some length.

Maldonado's latest stint in the majors lasted just one day, and he was roughed up for four runs over one inning in his appearance. Matt Andriese will take his spot in the bullpen.

The Guardians optioned Morgan to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday.

Morgan holds a 1.98 ERA but just a 10:5 K:BB over 13.2 innings this season and has missed time with a pair of arm issues. David Sandlin (back) has returned from the injured list to take Morgan's spot in the Guardians' bullpen.

The Guardians activated Sandlin (back) from the 15-day injured list Thursday.

Sandlin required just a minimum stay on the IL due to lower-back inflammation. He has a 3.49 ERA in 33 appearances this year and will return to a middle-relief role now that he's healthy.

Kimbrel picked up the save over the Mariners on Wednesday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out two.

Kimbrel entered the contest with a three-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and fanned the first two batters he faced before getting Julio Rodriguez to pop out to first for the final out. The veteran reliever has converted each of his last five save attempts, posting a 9:3 K:BB over that stretch while not allowing any hits. Kimbrel has also recorded two or more strikeouts in four of his last five appearances.

Hendriks (elbow) threw the first of three scheduled bullpen sessions Wednesday, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Hendriks will also throw sessions Friday and Sunday in New York. He was limited to fastballs only, per Red Sox manager Alex Cora, who added that the pitcher is "far off" from a rehab assignment. That remark counters earlier comments from Hendriks, who expressed optimism to be activated around July 30.

Diaz earned a save against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one walk in a scoreless inning.

Diaz entered in the ninth frame to protect a one-run lead and was successful despite issuing a leadoff walk. The Cincinnati closer has tossed seven straight scoreless outings, allowing just one hit during that span while recording five saves. Diaz has rebounded well from his early season struggles, as he's been successful in each of his past 13 save opportunities and has registered a 1.53 ERA across 17.2 frames over that stretch.

Finnegan earned a save against the Mets on Wednesday with a perfect inning of work.

Finnegan protected a two-run, ninth-inning lead by retiring the side in order on 11 pitches. The right-hander has converted 10 of his past 11 save chances and has allowed just four runs over 17.1 innings during that span. Finnegan has been one of MLB's best closers this season, ranking third in the league with 23 saves while posting a 1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB over 36.1 frames.

Suarez struck out two over 1.1 perfect innings to earn the save in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Suarez went a week without an appearance, so he was fresh Wednesday. He needed just 14 pitches (10 strikes) to get the last four outs of this victory, which resulted in his 21st save in 22 chances this year. The Padres' closer has been dominant with a 1.05 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 32:6 K:BB over 34.1 innings.
