Miller earned the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Orioles, striking out two in a perfect inning.

Miller delivered another lights-out performance Friday, stranding the free runner at second base in the 10th inning to seal a one-run Oakland victory. After allowing a pair of runs in his first appearance this year, Miller's held opponents scoreless in his subsequent 11.1 innings while giving up just one hit and one walk in his last seven appearances. The 25-year-old right-hander is up to seven saves on the year with a 1.46 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and an outstanding 18.24 K/9.

Kimbrel blew the save in Friday's loss to the A's, allowing a run on two hits and three walks in one-third of an inning.

Kimbrel allowed all five batters he faced to reach base safely, with the lone out coming when JJ Bleday was thrown out at home trying to score on a wild pitch. While Kimbrel was lucky to escape with just one allowed, he was still charged with his second blown save of the year, the other coming in his first appearance of the season April 1. Kimbrel hadn't allowed an earned run in 10 innings coming into Friday, striking out 15 in that span. Overall, the 35-year-old is 7-for-9 in save chances with a 1.59 ERA and 1.06 WHIP through 11.1 innings this season.

The Pirates recalled Nicolas from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Nicolas ended the 2023 season as part of the Pirates' bullpen. He struggled in his four outings, giving up seven runs on seven hits and four walks while striking out seven over 5.1 frames. Nicolas has looked better in Triple-A this season, posting a 0.84 ERA and 2.06 WHIP over 10.2 innings, and he'll get another shot in the majors. The move corresponds with Ryder Ryan being optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.

The Padres recalled Estrada from Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Estrada was sent down to Triple-A following the two-game Korea Series against the Dodgers. He's appeared in eight games with El Paso, registering a 2.08 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 20:3 K:BB and three saves over 8.2 frames, and the right-hander is set to bolster the Padres' bullpen. Estrada's move to the majors corresponds with right-hander Randy Vasquez being optioned to Triple-A El Paso.

Campbell (shoulder) has been playing catch from 90 feet, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Campbell has been on the injured list since April 12 with a right shoulder impingement, and his throwing program has progressed slower than expected, though manager Alex Cora said the right-hander is feeling better. He remains without a clear return timeline, but one may emerge once he progresses to mound work and faces live hitters.

The Rays recalled Rodriguez from Triple-A Durham on Friday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

It will be the first stint in the majors this season for Rodriguez, who has posted a 1.08 ERA and 13:2 K:BB over 8.1 innings with Durham in 2024. Assuming he makes an appearance, it would be the 27-year-old's first at the big-league level since 2022.

The Rays placed Poche on the 15-day injured list Friday, retroactive to April 24, with mid-back tightness, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Poche was knocked around for three runs in his last appearance Tuesday and it's possible he might have been compromised physically in that outing. He will miss at least the next two weeks, depriving the Rays of another high-leverage reliever after they already lost Pete Fairbanks (arm).

Green (shoulder) hopes to begin throwing in three to seven days, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Green is nearly a week removed from landing on the 15-day injured list with a teres major strain in his right shoulder. He will rehab for a few more days before hopefully starting a throwing program. Green still looks to be multiple weeks away from rejoining the Blue Jays.

Horn was designated for assignment by the White Sox on Friday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Horn has been knocked around this season at Triple-A Charlotte, posting an 11.32 ERA and 15:10 K:BB over 10.1 frames. He was acquired via trade from the Cubs over the offseason.

The Marlins recalled Maldonado from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

Maldonado will make his major-league debut Friday as the opener against the Nationals. The 26-year-old has a 2.31 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 10:4 K:BB over 11.2 innings with Jacksonville this season.
