Soriano (0-1) recorded his second hold of the season but was stuck with the loss Monday against the Giants, getting charged with three runs on one hit and two walks over two-thirds of an inning.

The right-hander entered the game in the top of the seventh to protect a 3-1 lead, but after giving up a run and leaving two runners on base after he got the hook, Soriano watched Andrew Nardi allow both inherited runners to score. Soriano has had a rough start to the season, but the same could be said about most of the Marlins' bullpen. Through seven innings over eight appearances, he carries a 10.29 ERA, 1.86 WHIP and 8:6 K:BB.

Brown allowed one run on a hit and two walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out four in the Cubs' win over Arizona.

After coughing up an RBI single in the second inning, Brown retired the final 13 batters he faced. He was crushed for six runs through just 1.2 frames in his MLB debut March 30 but has since given up just two runs over 14.2 innings. With Monday's solid outing, he dropped his ERA to 4.41 with a 15:6 K:BB through his first four appearances. With Jameson Taillon (back) expected to return in the coming days, Brown's role with the Cubs isn't set in stone.

Ginkel allowed a run on two hits in one inning Monday. He struck out one batter and blew a save chance during the loss to the Cubs.

Ginkel was tasked with closing out a 2-1 lead in the ninth inning but couldn't finish things off. He eventually let the tying run score on a wild pitch and the Cubs would go on to win in 11 innings. The 30-year-old had converted three straight saves since blowing his first opportunity of the year April 5. Ginkel owns a 3.24 ERA with a 10:2 K:BB through 8.1 innings.

Bummer (1-1) was credited with the win Monday against the Astros, giving up one hit in a scoreless two-thirds of an inning.

The left-hander got the final out of the fifth inning after relieving Darius Vines, and the official scorer elected to give Bummer the win. It's the earliest in a game he's pitched so far this season, but Bummer has been deployed anywhere from the fifth to the ninth inning as a utility arm in the Atlanta bullpen. Through six innings and seven appearances, he's posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 5:2 K:BB with zero holds or saves.

Gibault (forearm) will make at least one more rehab appearance for Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

This will be Gibault's fifth appearance while out on rehab assignment. The right-hander threw two scoreless innings for High-A Dayton and was moved to Louisville, where he's allowed four runs on four hits over 1.2 innings. He's targeted to return April 20.

Finnegan picked up a save against the Dodgers on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning.

Finnegan was staked to a two-run lead when he entered in the ninth inning, and he retired all three batters he faced to close out the contest. The right-hander is tied for the league lead with six saves on the campaign, and he's held the opponent without an earned run in all but one of his eight outings. Finnegan came into the season with a shaky hold on the closer role for the Nationals, but he appears to be firmly in control of ninth-inning duties for the time being given his success rate so far.

Tate (1-0) allowed a hit over 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the win Monday over the Twins. He did not strike out or walk a batter.

Tate's usage so far has been versatile -- he's worked more than an inning twice over six appearances. Outside of allowing two runs (one earned) over one inning in his season debut March 28, Tate has been excellent. He's at a 1.29 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 4:4 K:BB through seven innings overall, though the lack of late-inning assignments is not helping his fantasy value, especially with lackluster strikeout numbers.

Vanasco pitched two perfect innings in relief against the Nationals on Monday, striking out one batter.

Vanasco was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to the contest and entered in the eighth inning with Los Angeles down three runs. The right-hander ended up finishing the contest, throwing an efficient 14 of 20 pitches for strikes and retiring all six batters he faced. The Dodgers are opting for a bullen game Tuesday, per Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register, so there's a good chance Vanasco will be sent back down to the minors in short order to make room for a fresh arm. That said, his impressive major-league debut Monday should land him additional chances to pitch out of the big-league team's bullpen this season.

Herrin (1-0) walked one and struck out three over two hitless and scoreless innings to earn the win Monday over the Red Sox.

Xzavion Curry tossed five scoreless innings in his season debut, but the Guardians' offense didn't wake up until the seventh inning. Herrin ended up as the pitcher of record while accounting for half of the Cleveland bullpen's four scoreless frames. The southpaw has a 1.04 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 7:5 K:BB over 8.2 innings this season, while also earning one hold in eight appearances. Herrin gives the Guardians a multi-inning option, and while he's had a strong start to the year, the team's bullpen as a whole has been a strength, giving him little chance of moving into a high-leverage role.

Helsley earned a save against the Athletics on Monday, striking out two batters in a perfect inning of work.

Helsley had no trouble slamming the door on Oakland in the bottom of the ninth frame, retiring the side on just 10 pitches, four of which were swinging strikes. After blowing his first save chance of the campaign against the Dodgers on March 30, the right-hander has been successful on each of his subsequent six attempts, and he's held the opponent scoreless in seven of his past eight outings. On the season, Helsley has an impressive 11:1 K:BB over nine innings.
