Winn's medical exam Saturday revealed no structural damage in his right elbow, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Winn had been dealing with soreness in his elbow and made the trip to San Francisco to get looked at by a specialist. Luckily, no major problem was uncovered, though he was still placed on Sacramento's 7-day injured list.

Burdi (abdomen) threw a 35-pitch bullpen session Saturday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

All went well during Burdi's bullpen session, and the next step will probably be throwing live batting practice sometime next week. Burdi remains on track to return to Chicago's bullpen in mid-August.

The Brewers recalled Megill from Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.

With Justin Wilson (lat) headed back to the injured list, Megill will be brought back to the major-league club as Wilson's roster replacement. Megill holds a 4.60 ERA and 1.47 WHIP through 15.2 frames this season and will almost certainly be limited to low-leverage situations while in Milwaukee.

Wilson was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a left lat strain.

Wilson was reinstated from the 60-day IL on Friday after working his way back from Tommy John surgery, but he suffered another injury in the Brewers' bullpen just moments before he was about to make his season debut. The 35-year-old lefty will be eligible to return beginning Aug. 13, and Trevor Megill will come up from Triple-A to take his spot in the bullpen.

The Marlins optioned Hoeing to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

After the acquisition of David Robertson from the Mets, Miami will send Hoeing to the minors to free up a roster spot. The 26-year-old righty has a 4.57 ERA and 1.35 WHIP through 45.1 frames this season and could return to the Marlins later this season if they need a fresh arm.

Martinez was optioned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Saturday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

He gave up seven earned runs in one inning during his most recent performance Wednesday against the Rangers, and Kendall Graveman will take his place in the bullpen. The Astros could summon Martinez again next time they need a fresh bullpen arm.

Swanson is considered one of the top candidates to get saves while Jordan Romano (back) is on the 15-day injured list, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Yimi Garcia and Tim Mayza were also mentioned by McGrath as candidates to work in a closer-by-committee situation in the short term, and the Jays could also look to acquire a high-leverage reliever via trade. Swanson has eight career saves and five in the last two seasons. He has a 3.51 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 55 strikeouts in 48.2 innings.

Pearson was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

Pearson has one save at Triple-A and one save in the majors this season, but it will likely be Erik Swanson or Yimi Garcia who get tabbed for any save opportunities that arise in the short term.

The White Sox selected Navarro's contract from Triple-A Charlotte on Saturday.

Navarro will come up from the minors to provide depth to a White Sox pitching staff that has seen a lot of players leave ahead of the trade deadline. The 25-year-old righty put up a 4.19 ERA and 1.45 WHIP through 34.1 innings in Triple-A and will make his MLB debut whenever he gets into a game.
