    Royals' Hunter Harvey: Returns from IL

    The Royals activated Harvey (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Friday.

    Harvey hasn't pitched in the big leagues since April 7 due to a shoulder strain, but he appeared in three rehab games and is ready to return to the Royals' bullpen. Harvey was off to a hot start this season, registering a 0.00 ERA, 0.19 WHIP and 7:0 K:BB across 5.1 innings prior to his injury. Harvey should slot back in as a top setup man for Kansas City.

    Astros' Nick Robertson: DFA'd by Houston

    Robertson was designated for assignment by the Astros on Friday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

    Robertson was acquired from Toronto back in April and has spent the entirety of the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Sugar Land, where he owns a 4.68 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 36:25 K:BB across 32.2 innings of relief.

    Rockies' Nick Anderson: Contract selected

    The Rockies selected Anderson's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

    The right-hander joined Colorado on a minor-league deal in late May and will now receive his first look in the majors in 2025. Anderson didn't pitch particularly well in 14 appearances for Albuquerque with a 5.11 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB over 12.1 innings.

    Reds' Luis Mey: Up with Reds

    The Reds recalled Mey from Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

    He'll fill in for Scott Barlow (paternity) in the Reds bullpen. Mey has appeared in 15 games with Cincinnati, logging a 4.40 ERA and 15:10 K:BB across 14.1 innings. He has posted a 2.84 ERA in 25 innings at Triple-A.

    Rockies' Victor Vodnik: Lands on paternity list

    The Rockies placed Vodnik on the paternity list Friday.

    The right-hander will step away from the team for a few days in order to be with his growing family. Vodnik should be back with the Rockies by Monday's series opener in Cleveland.

    Reds' Scott Barlow: On paternity list

    The Reds placed Barlow on the paternity list Friday.

    Barlow will be temporarily away from the team for personal reasons. While he's away, Luis Mey will fill the vacated spot in the bullpen. Barlow has a 3.53 ERA in 44.2 innings of relief this season.

    Marlins' Freddy Tarnok: Brought up to bigs

    The Marlins recalled Tarnok from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday.

    Tarnok will join the 26-man roster in place of Lake Bachar, who's been put on the paternity list. Tarnok has pitched two scoreless innings with the Marlins this season and owns a 3.90 ERA in 55.1 innings at Triple-A.

    Marlins' Lake Bachar: On paternity list

    The Marlins placed Bachar on the paternity list Friday.

    Bachar will miss up to three games to attend to personal matters. Freddy Tarnok was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Bachar has a 3.15 ERA and a 48:21 K:BB across 45.2 innings of relief in 2025.

  • Orioles' Cameron Foster: Dealt to O's

    Foster and Wellington Aracena were acquired by the Orioles from the Mets on Friday in exchange for reliever Gregory Soto, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

    A 14th-round pick by the Mets in 2022, Foster is now on the move ahead of the trade deadline. The 26-year-old has spent most of this season at the Double-A level, where he has a 1.01 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 34:5 K:BB across 26.2 innings.

    Mets' Gregory Soto: Sent to Mets

    The Mets acquired Soto from the Orioles on Friday in exchange for pitching prospects Wellington Aracena and Cameron Foster, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

    The veteran left-hander is on the move at the trade deadline for a second consecutive year after being dealt from Philadelphia to Baltimore in 2024. Soto has served as a setup man for the Orioles this season with one save and 18 holds, and he has a 3.96 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 44:18 K:BB over 36.1 innings. He should fill a similar role in Queens in front of closer Edwin Diaz.
