Miller struck out two in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 36th save of the season in a 7-6 win over the Giants.

The right-hander had a little difficulty controlling his triple-digit heat, going to full counts against two batters and throwing 17 pitches (nine strikes) in total, but Miller prevented things from getting out of hand. Since the beginning of August, Miller has delivered a 2.04 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 32:8 K:BB over 17.2 innings while converting eight of 10 save chances, bringing him up to 26 saves on the year.

Hjerpe allowed four runs on two hits, four walks and two hit batsmen while striking out three over one-plus inning of relief in a no-decision versus the White Sox on Saturday.

Hjerpe wasn't able to replicate his four perfect innings from his big-league debut in Colorado last weekend. The southpaw will remain on a starter's schedule while working in tandem assignments with Kyle Leahy to close out 2026. That spot in the rotation is set to come up again at home versus the Nationals, and if Hjerpe continues to be the bulk reliever, he will be in better position to collect wins than Leahy.

Hudson struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Cardinals.

The White Sox took the lead in the top of the ninth inning, and Hudson made it stand with his clean frame. He's on a 10-inning scoreless streak, posting a 7:0 K:BB in that span while adding two holds and three saves. Hudson and Grant Taylor appear to be sharing the closing duties for the White Sox, though Taylor worked in the seventh and eighth innings of this game. Hudson has pitched to a 2.87 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 58:17 K:BB through 62.2 innings this year while adding eight saves, nine holds and three blown saves.

Joyce was charged with his second blown save of the season in Saturday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Nationals, allowing one run on one hit and one walk in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

The Angels staged a late rally to take a 5-4 lead in the top of the ninth inning, but Joyce couldn't close the door in the bottom of the frame. The right-hander is 4-for-6 in converting save chances since taking over the closer role in mid-August, and over 10 appearances since he's posted a 4.82 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB in 9.1 innings.

Mayza didn't factor into the decision Saturday against Atlanta, allowing two hits and no walks in three scoreless innings. He struck out four.

Mayza filled in admirably for the injured Jesus Luzardo (shoulder) on Saturday, blanking Atlanta for three frames in a spot start as an opener. The southpaw has given up just one earned run in his last 14 outings. Through 64.1 innings on the year, he has a 3.08 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 63:15 K:BB, typically serving as a middle reliever for the Phillies.

Fairbanks earned the save in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Dodgers, allowing one run on one hit and one walk without recording a strikeout in the ninth inning.

Fairbanks was called on for his first save opportunity since returning from the injured list Wednesday and closed the door despite allowing a run. The 32-year-old's fastball velocity was down nearly three mph from his season average, so he is possibly still experiencing some rust from his hand injury. He's now 19-for-23 in save chances this year but owns an ugly 6.10 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 57:20 K:BB across 41.1 innings this season.

Baker threw 1.1 scoreless innings for the save Saturday against the Astros, allowing one hit and no walks. He struck out one.

Baker recorded more than three outs Saturday for just the second time this season. The All-Star closer continues to be dominant, giving up only three earned runs in 27 appearances since the start of July. He has a 1.54 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and 62:21 K:BB with a major-league-leading 40 saves (43 opportunities) over 58.1 innings in 2026.

Seymour didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Astros, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out 10.

Seymour flooded the zone Saturday, pouring in 58 of his 79 pitches for strikes in a strong start. The southpaw tends to get hurt by the long ball, as he's served up at least one home run in seven of his last eight outings, but he's fanned at least seven on six occasions during that span. He'll bring a 4.27 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 150:34 K:BB over 122.1 innings into his next scheduled appearance against the division-rival Red Sox.

Arrighetti (8-9) picked up the win in Saturday's 7-3 victory over the Orioles, allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks over 2.2 innings of relief. He struck out two.

The right-hander was the third of seven Toronto pitchers to take the mound on a bullpen day, and Arrighetti got credited with the win in a game his team never trailed. It was his first victory in a Blue Jays uniform, and over five appearances (two starts) since being acquired at the trade deadline from the Astros, he's produced a 6.87 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB in 18.1 innings. Arrighetti will continue being plugged in as necessary to help cover a couple holes in the rotation, but after throwing 50 pitches (26 strikes) on Saturday, it doesn't seem like he's viewed as a real candidate to make a traditional start.

Minter earned the save against the Guardians on Saturday, striking out two in a perfect ninth inning.

With Yoendrys Gomez struggling in a loss Friday, Minter was summoned to preserve a one-run lead in the ninth inning Saturday and did so on 16 pitches. It was likely just a matchup play, as the southpaw's last save came May 13, 2024. On the season, he owns a 2.01 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB across 40.1 innings with the Mets and Twins.
