Bryse Wilson RP | MIL
Bryse Wilson: Hits free-agent market
Wilson elected to become a free agent Monday, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.
He passed through waivers after being removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster, but Wilson has opted to test out free agency rather than accept an outright assignment to Triple-A Nashville. The swingman has made a total of nine appearances between three different teams in the majors this season, allowing 11 runs with an 18:2 K:BB over 23.1 frames.

Phillies' Chase Shugart: Summoned to big leagues
The Phillies recalled Shugart from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
He'll rejoin the Philadelphia bullpen as a replacement for Caleb Kilian (oblique), who was placed on the 15-day injured list. Shugart has previously had two stints in the majors this season, posting a collective 4.93 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB in 38.1 innings. The right-hander is likely to work in a middle-relief role for Philadelphia.

Devin Williams RP | NYM
Mets' Devin Williams: Lands on IL with shoulder strain
The Mets placed Williams on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a right shoulder strain.
Williams missed time recently with what was described as right arm fatigue, and now he's shelved with a strained shoulder. The Mets are optimistic that Williams will be in line for a relatively brief absence, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. The only player on the Mets' active roster other than Williams to record a save this season is Daniel Duarte, who picked up his second career save last week when Williams was unavailable. Duarte could be the next man up to close for the Mets, but Kodai Senga is also a candidate.

Caleb Kilian RP | PHI
Phillies' Caleb Kilian: Lands on IL with oblique strain
The Phillies placed Kilian on the 15-day injured list Monday due to a left oblique strain, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
Acquired from the Giants last Monday, Kilian made just four appearances with his new team before hitting the shelf due to the oblique injury, which he sustained on his final pitch of Sunday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays in 12 innings. The Phillies recalled Chase Shugart from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to join the bullpen as a replacement for Kilian, who will be eligible for activation Aug. 25 but appears likely to miss more than the minimum 15 days.

Lazaro Estrada RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Lazaro Estrada: Jettisoned to minors
The Blue Jays optioned Estrada to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Estrada had pitched each of the last three days, so his spot on the roster will be filled by a fresh bullpen arm. The 27-year-old has permitted seven runs (six earned) with an 8:8 K:BB over 12 innings during his time with the big club in 2026.

Simeon Woods Richardson RP | TOR
Blue Jays' Simeon Woods Richardson: Returns to big-league roster
The Blue Jays selected Woods Richardson's contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Woods Richardson was removed from the 40-man roster in late June, but he's earned another opportunity by logging a 1.65 ERA and 14:6 K:BB over 16.1 innings across his last four appearances with Buffalo. The righty will likely be used in a long relief role.

Nick Pivetta RP | SD
Padres' Nick Pivetta: Plays catch Sunday
Pivetta (forearm) played catch at PetCo Park on Sunday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
Pivetta is in a holding pattern in terms of resuming a rehab stint, but he's still been able to do some throwing. The right-hander exited a rehab start -- his first since landing on the injured list April 14 due to a right flexor strain -- with Triple-A El Paso on Aug. 4 after throwing just 14 pitches, though he did get in some more throws in the bullpen afterward. According to Cassavell, the Padres have "tentative plans" for Pivetta to throw a bullpen session but haven't revealed a date for that to take place.
