Crochet (3-4) yielded five hits over six shutout frames Friday while striking out 11 as he earned a win over the Guardians.

Crochet carved up Cleveland's lineup with ease, setting new career bests with 11 strikeouts and 21 whiffs. He seems to be fully back on track after struggling during the middle of April. He gave up 17 runs over an ugly three-start stretch but has allowed just three runs while registering a 24:1 K:BB over his last three outings. Crochet lowered his season ERA to 4.63 with an outstanding 64:9 K:BB through 46.2 frames. He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Nationals next week.

Woo was removed from his start Friday against Oakland due to an apparent injury, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.

Woo appeared to be reluctant to come out of the game, but the Mariners' training staff saw something they didn't like and decided to pull the right-hander. In his first start of the season after working his way back from elbow inflammation, Woo pitched 4.1 scoreless innings and struck out three batters while walking one. It remains unknown if his latest injury is related to his elbow, but clarification should come relatively soon.

Mize did not factor into the decision Friday against the Astros, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out two.

Mize shut out Houston through five innings before serving up a Kyle Tucker solo homer to lead off the sixth. While the Tigers' bullpen couldn't hang onto the lead, it was an impressive outing from Mize after he allowed five runs in a loss to the Yankees in his last start. Overall, the 27-year-old right-hander is 1-1 with a 3.58 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 26:9 K:BB across 37.2 innings this season. Mize is currently lined up for a home matchup with the Marlins in his next start.

Valdez (2-1) earned the win Friday over the Tigers, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

Valdez allowed two runs on a Matt Vierling double in the third inning before blanking Detroit over his final four frames en route to his second victory of the year. It's an encouraging bounce-back effort from Valdez, who allowed five runs in a loss to Seattle in his previous start. The left-hander lowered his ERA to 3.64 with a 1.35 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB across five starts (29.2 innings). Valdez, who has walked only one batter over his past three starts, is currently scheduled for a home matchup with the A's in his next outing.

The Royals reinstated Marsh (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Friday.

Marsh made his lone rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on May 5, striking out six and giving up one hit and one walk over four shutout innings while throwing 53 pitches. To make room for Marsh, the Royals optioned southpaw Daniel Lynch to Triple-A Omaha. Marsh will take the mound and start in Friday's series opener against the Angels.

Estes will be recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to start Saturday's game against the Mariners, Martin Gallegos of MLB.comreports.

Estes has posted a 6.04 ERA and 1.46 WHIP across 28.1 innings in Triple-A, but he will come up from the minors to make his season debut with Oakland nonetheless. The 22-year-old right-hander gave up eight earned runs in 10 major-league innings last season, and he isn't a recommended streaming option for Saturday.

The Mariners reinstated Woo (elbow) from the 15-day injured list prior to his start Friday versus Oakland.

Woo will be making his season debut after missing the first month-plus of the season due to right elbow inflammation. The 24-year-old was spectacular during his rehab assignment, striking out 17 batters in 11.1 scoreless innings, and he'll get a chance to stay hot against a below-average Athletics lineup. Tyson Miller was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Rodriguez (back) was playing catch out to 90 feet Friday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Rodriguez seems to be progressing well after being placed on the 15-day IL with thoracic spine inflammation April 30. While he'll be eligible to return May 14, it seems as though Rodriguez will need more time before being reinstated.

The Rangers optioned Leiter to Triple-A Round Rock on Thursday.

Leiter was up as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader versus the Athletics and got rocked for six runs (four earned) over four innings. Because he was the designated 27th man, the 15-day rule doesn't apply to Leiter, so he'll remain an option to make a start next week versus the Guardians.

Detmers (3-4) was hit with the loss against the Royals on Thursday, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.

Detmers cruised through the first two innings before the first four batters got on base to open the third, eventually leading to four runs. He was touched up again in the fifth, marking his third consecutive outing in which he's allowed at least five runs. Surprisingly, the lefty has still managed to get through at least five innings in all eight of his starts this season despite his recent struggles, though he's lost four straight outings.
