Kaprielian did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on 10 hits and no walks with five strikeouts over six innings in a 4-3 loss against the Angels.

Despite allowing 10 hits on the night, Kaprielian was able to limit the damage to just three runs allowed in the second inning. The 10 hits he surrendered are the most he has conceded all season, but he did not walk a batter for just the third time on the campaign, signaling he may have found too much of the plate Tuesday. The quality start was his third in a row and sixth on the season. He likely next lines up to face Seattle this weekend.

Sandoval did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against Oakland. He struck out four.

Sandoval was mostly effective Tuesday but had trouble in the second inning, needing 29 pitches to finish the inning and allowing all three runs he would surrender on the night to score. He may have been able to record the quality start but was pulled with 94 pitches in favor of a R/R matchup after recording a strikeout to begin the sixth inning. The southpaw has now failed to record a quality start in each of his last four outings after recording three straight prior. He still owns a strong 3.09 ERA on the season and tentatively next faces Oakland again next week.

Ray (12-11) took the loss during Tuesday's 5-0 defeat at the hands of the Rangers, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings.

Ray served up a Josh Jung solo shot in the second inning and another run in the sixth before departing with two outs and the bases loaded, but reliever Penn Murfee was able to induce a groundout to end the frame. The two earned runs were enough for the loss as Seattle failed to score, and the 30-year-old has now lost three of four starts while pitching to a 4.57 ERA across 21.2 innings during the stretch. He carries a 3.58 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into his next start, tentatively scheduled to come Sunday against Oakland.

Wacha tossed 3.1 innings, giving up six runs on eight hits while striking out three in Tuesday's 13-9 win over the Orioles. He did not factor into the decision.

Wacha struggled to keep the Orioles off the bases Tuesday, surrendering eight runs and three homers, both of which were season highs. The blowup ended a five-game streak of quality starts for the 31-year-old and raised his ERA from 2.70 to 3.06 on the season. He'll look to return to form in his final start of the 2022 campaign, which is tentatively set to come Sunday versus the Blue Jays.

Bradish pitched 2.1 innings, surrendering seven runs on four hits and four walks while striking out three in Tuesday's 13-9 loss to the Red Sox. He did not factor into the decision.

Bradish gave up a two-run homer to Triston Casas in the bottom of the second inning before he was tagged with five more runs in the following frame while only recording one out. The right-hander's performance Tuesday was a far cry from his last outing Thursday versus the Astros when he fell just short of a complete-game shutout. Prior to the difficult start, Bradish had produced a 1.64 ERA and 0.78 WHIP with 30 punchouts over 38.1 innings in his last six outings. He now sits with a 5.11 ERA and 1.39 WHIP with 106 strikeouts over 112.2 frames in 22 starts this season.

Garcia (14-8) earned the win Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and no walks over six innings against the Diamondbacks. He struck out six.

Garcia cruised to victory Tuesday, as the only damage on the night came via a Geraldo Perdomo solo home run in the third inning. The effort was Garcia's third quality start and second start without allowing a walk over 11 outings in the second half. He has a 3.81 ERA through 151.1 innings this season, just four innings shy of the innings mark he recorded in 2021. It is unclear whether the Astros will keep Garcia in the rotation, as they are likely closely monitoring his innings as they head into the playoffs.

Ober (2-3) got the win after he tossed 7.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out 10 batters Tuesday against the White Sox.

Ober was in full command Tuesday, registering a season-high 10 punchouts while blanking the White Sox over 7.1 frames. The right-hander has now allowed three runs over 12.1 innings while striking out 13 batters over two starts since returning from the 15-day injured list Sept. 16. He now owns a 3.18 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with 47 punchouts over 51 frames in 10 starts this season. Ober is tentatively set to pitch Sunday versus the Tigers, which would be his final outing of the 2022 campaign.

Bieber allowed four runs on six hits while striking out six in six innings of a 6-5 extra-innings loss Tuesday against Tampa Bay. He did not factor into the decision.

After scattering two hits in the first three innings, Bieber struggled to get outs in the fourth inning. Four batters recorded hits, including Jose Siri's two-out, two-run homer. Following the offensive outburst, Bieber retired the last seven batters he faced. The poor inning ended his streak of 11 straight quality starts. While he's compiled a 2.51 ERA in six September starts, he's also given up seven long balls, equal to the total in his previous 17 starts combined.

Kluber allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out five in four innings in a 6-5 extra-innings win Tuesday in Cleveland. He did not factor into the decision.

All three runs against Kluber came with two outs as Jose Ramirez tripled in a run in the third and Steven Kwan had a two-run single in the fourth. Kluber needed 91 pitches to get through the four innings and was removed rather than face the heart of Cleveland's lineup a third time. It's been feast or famine for the 36-year-old in September, as he's tossed seven innings while allowing one run or fewer on two occasions and given up 13 runs in 10.1 innings in his other three outings combined.

Greinke struck out two in seven scoreless innings while allowing four hits and a walk in a 4-3 extra-inning loss Tuesday in Detroit. He did not factor into the decision.

Greinke was masterful Tuesday, facing just two over the minimum even though he allowed five baserunners thanks to a pickoff and two double plays. He needed just 86 pitches to complete the seven frames and left the game with the Royals leading 3-0. It was his longest and best outing of the season and he lowered his ERA for the year to 3.98.
