Civale (3-6) earned the win against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing two runs on three hits with seven strikeouts and no walks over five innings.

In his second start since returning from the injured list, Civale worked his pitch count up to 75 on his way to his third win of the season. He fanned seven batters on the day for the fourth time this season and did not walk a batter for the first time since Aug. 10. He will take a 5.19 ERA into his next start, which is tentatively scheduled for this weekend against Kansas City.

Garcia is available out of the bullpen Sunday against the Orioles, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

He's not scheduled to start any of the Astros' next three games despite having not pitched since last Monday, so it Houston looks to be prepping Garcia for a relief role he may occupy during the postseason. Another quality starter, Hunter Brown, is also working out of this loaded Astros bullpen.

Whitley is dealing with "very minor" shoulder discomfort, according to general manager James Click, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Whitley last pitched Sept. 16 and was scratched from a start Thursday with shoulder discomfort. He logged a 5.06 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and a 23:17 K:BB in 21.1 innings over his five most recent minor-league starts. Whitley, who is on the 40-man roster, has tallied only 40 innings in his first minor-league season since 2019.

Keller (6-14) took the loss Saturday versus the Mariners, allowing a run on four hits and two walks over 1.1 innings.

Keller got a double play to escape a bases-loaded jam in the eighth inning, but the Mariners posted three straight one-out hits in the ninth to scrape together the go-ahead run. The Royals couldn't bail Keller out, sending him to his first loss as a reliever in 11 appearances. He's pitched to a 6.46 ERA, 2.09 WHIP and 15:10 K:BB while adding a save and a hold in 15.1 innings out of the bullpen, and he's unlikely to see enough high-leverage chances to make an impact in fantasy.

Glasnow (elbow) is scheduled to start Wednesday in Cleveland, where he will be limited to about 45 pitches, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Glasnow is throwing a light bullpen session Sunday in preparation for his activation. He could be excellent on a per-inning basis, but he won't be able to go deep enough to qualify for a win in his 2022 debut. However, it's possible Glasnow could log four or five innings if he stays on turn and pitches the following week in Boston.

Garcia is not listed as a starter for next week's series against the Diamondbacks, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.

He last pitched Monday, throwing five scoreless frames in Tampa Bay, so Garcia would line up to start either Sunday in Baltimore or in next week's series against the Diamondbacks, so the fact he is not the probable pitcher in any of those three games is a bit of a red flag. It would seem that Garcia is either not 100 percent healthy or that he is just getting a break after totaling 145.1 innings thus far this season. He may also have been moved to the bullpen, and it would not be surprising to see him pitch in relief at some point over the next few days.

Manoah (15-7) earned the win Saturday without allowing a run on four hits and two walks over seven innings against the Rays. He struck out eight.

Manoah allowed just two extra-base hits in the form of doubles from Randy Arozarena and Francisco Mejia. The righty has been outstanding in his last seven starts, recording a 1.13 ERA and 0.90 WHIP over 48 innings. In addition, the 24-year-old has not allowed a home run in eight of his last 10 games.

Valdez did not factor into the decision Saturday, allowing seven runs (four earned) on 11 hits and one walk over 5.1 innings against the Orioles. He struck out six.

Valdez allowed just three hits through the first three innings as the Astros jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but things began to unravel for him in the fourth after giving up back-to-back singles to lead off the inning. Rougned Odor later singled to drive in Adley Rutschman and Ramon Urias before Cedric Mullins topped off the inning with a two-run shot. Though the right-hander was charged with only four of the seven runs that came across while he was on the mound, it was still the first time all season that Valdez allowed more than three runs in a start. It also snapped his MLB single-season record of 25 straight quality starts.

The Red Sox coaching staff will meet Monday to decide the next step for Eovaldi (shoulder), Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.

The Red Sox were expected to decide next steps over the weekend, but Boston manager Alex Cora wants to take an extra day. Eovaldi hurled three innings Friday in a rehab start for Triple-A Worcester, during which the right-hander was mechanically off and gave up three hits, two walks and three runs. Cora said the pitcher was fine health-wise.

Rasmussen (10-7) took the loss Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks over 6.1 innings against the Blue Jays. He struck out five.

Rasmussen surrendered a double from Teoscar Hernandez in the seventh inning prior to exiting the game, so he was charged with one of the three runs from second baseman Whit Merrifield's seventh-inning blast off lefty reliever Brooks Raley. The righty has recorded three straight losses, allowing nine runs in 16.1 innings over that span. The 27-year-old's home results have been much better as he boasts a 2.24 ERA and 0.83 WHIP over 76.1 innings compared to a 3.59 ERA and 1.34 WHIP over 62.2 innings on the road.
