Domingo German SP | PIT
Yankees' Domingo German: Heads back to Triple-A
German was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday.
German will lose his spot in the Yankees bullpen with Adam Warren (shoulder) cleared to return from the 10-day disabled list in a corresponding move. During his second stint with the big club, German made four appearances and gave up five runs (four earned) while striking out 10 batters over eight innings.

Justin Verlander SP | DET
Tigers' Justin Verlander: Potential trade candidate
The Cubs have inquired about the availability of Verlander, though the two sides have not engaged in negotiations, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
Morosi also noted that the Cubs had a scout at Verlander's most recent start Sunday, when he got shelled for seven runs in 3.1 innings. However, Buster Olney of ESPN reports that the Tigers will want a huge return if they move their ace, and he's also owed $70 million through 2019. Expect trade talks to continue swirling around Verlander up until the trade deadline, though the big price tag could make him hard to move.

Jordan Guerrero SP | CHW
White Sox's Jordan Guerrero: Earns organization's monthly award
Guerrero has been named the White Sox's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for June, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Guerrero went 4-0 with a 1.23 ERA, four walks, 26 strikeouts, a shutout and a .195 opponents' average over five starts for Double-A Birmingham. The 23-year-old left-hander is overshadowed at Birmingham by Michael Kopech and doesn't crack the organization's top 20 on RotoWire's prospect rankings, but has performed much better in 2017 than he did during his introduction to the Double-A Southern League in 2016. Guerrero leads the league with 100 strikeouts and has completed at least six innings in 10 of his 15 starts.

Martin Perez SP | ATL
Rangers' Martin Perez: Allows five runs in no-decision
Perez allowed five runs -- two earned -- on seven hits and four walks while striking out three batters through 5.2 innings during Monday's loss to Boston. He didn't factor into the decision.
The lefty held the Red Sox to two runs until Boston scored three unearned tallies in the sixth inning. Perez was up to the task Monday, but he wasn't rewarded for his efforts. After missing his last start because of a fractured right thumb in his non-throwing hand, it was encouraging to see Perez navigate a strong lineup into the sixth inning without allowing too much damage. Still, he sports a 4.60 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 6.6 K/9 for the campaign, so Perez is likely best utilized as a streaming option in most seasonal leagues or as a low-priced flier in daily contests against favorable opponents. He projects to make his next start at home against the Angels.

Carlos Rodon SP | NYY
White Sox's Carlos Rodon: Strikes out 10 in first win
Rodon (1-1) held the Athletics to two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out 10 over 6.1 innings in a victory Monday night.
The Athletics were waving at air, as Rodon induced a ludicrous 26 swinging strikes in 102 pitches. That's the kind of nastiness scouts have envisioned from him ever since he was the ace back at North Carolina State University. While he hasn't totally put the wildness that plagued him in his first start behind him, Rodon is so electric that he can afford a few walks and still put up a high-quality line.

Adalberto Mejia SP | MIN
Twins' Adalberto Mejia: Pitches around trouble for fourth win
Mejia (4-3) allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk while striking out five batters through seven innings during Monday's win over the Angels.
The lefty has now allowed just five runs through 22.1 innings over his past four starts and is down to a moderately respectable 4.32 ERA for the season. His 1.51 WHIP and 7.4 K/9 are hardly moving the fantasy needle, but Mejia's recent form has his fantasy stock trending in the right direction. He's worth considering as a streaming option or low-priced flier in daily contests in the right matchups. Mejia next projects to make a home start against Baltimore.

Alex Meyer SP | LAA
Angels' Alex Meyer: Surrenders five runs to Twins
Meyer (3-5) allowed five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out six batters through five innings during Monday's loss to Minnesota.
Meyer has the swing-and-miss pitch arsenal to be an excellent fantasy asset, but he still needs some fine-tuning. His 6.1 BB/9 and 1.46 WHIP are especially concerning, whereas his 4.18 ERA is a serviceable mark alongside an elite 10.1 K/9. At worst, Meyer is worth keeping tabs on going forward. He projects to face Texas at Globe Life Park in Arlington in his next start.

Marcus Stroman SP | NYY
Blue Jays' Marcus Stroman: Experiences possible blister in loss to Yankees
Stroman (8-5) allowed two runs on five hits and two walks across five innings in Monday's loss to the Yankees. He struck out three.
Stroman got off to a rocky start in this one, allowing a pair of runs on two hits, two walks and a hit batsman in the first inning. He settled down after that point, allowing just three hits over the next four frames, but he was checked for a blister by the training staff at one point and later departed with just 79 pitches under his belt. The severity of any finger issues Stroman is experiencing remains to be seen, but he is currently scheduled to start Saturday against the Astros.

Wade Miley SP | CIN
Orioles' Wade Miley: Rocked in loss to Brewers
Miley (3-7) allowed seven runs on seven hits and two walks across 1.2 innings in Monday's loss to the Brewers. He struck out two.
Miley was under duress early and often in this one, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks in the first inning before seeing another pair of runs come home in the second. The left-hander has fallen on hard times after a solid start to the season, posting an 11.28 ERA over his last six starts to push his season mark up to 5.20. Miley will look to stop the bleeding in his next start Saturday against the Twins.

Eduardo Rodriguez SP | ARI
Red Sox's Eduardo Rodriguez: Won't rejoin rotation before All-Star break
Updating an earlier report, Rodriguez (knee) isn't expected to return to the Red Sox's starting rotation before the All-Star break, Tim Britton of The Providence Journal reports.
While it was originally reported that he could start against the Rays on Sunday, it now appears the Red Sox will wait until after the All-Star break to reinsert him back into their rotation. He could still return to the bullpen before the break, but that will likely hinge on how he feels following his rehab start at Triple-A on Tuesday. It's also possible that he sticks around and makes one more minor-league rehab start.
