Matthew Boyd SP | CHC
Tigers' Matt Boyd: Sent back to minors
Boyd was optioned back to Triple-A Toledo on Saturday.
Boyd was brought up as the 26th man to start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Royals, but will head back to Toledo following a rough afternoon. The young southpaw gave up four runs on seven hits over just 3.2 innings, raising his ERA to 5.69 on the season. Regardless, look for Boyd to be a top option if the Tigers need an extra arm down the road.

Joe Musgrove SP | SD
Astros' Joe Musgrove: Candidate to start Wednesday
Musgrove could start Wednesday in place of David Paulino, who was suspended 80 games Saturday after testing positive for a banned performance-enhancing drug, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Paulino's suspension put the Astros in a position to find another starter to take his next turn Wednesday. Musgrove, who was demoted to Triple-A Fresno a week ago, started his first game for the Grizzlies on Thursday and was dominant. The Astros would like him to get a few more starts in the minors, but the Paulino situation left the team in a bind. With injuries to members of the major-league rotation, the two minor-league starters currently on the 40-man roster already up with the team, and Musgrove's next turn aligned for Tuesday, it makes sense that Houston would call him up from Fresno to take Paulino's spot.

Dylan Bundy SP | NYM
Orioles' Dylan Bundy: Fans seven in Saturday loss
Bundy (8-7) allowed five runs on seven hits while striking out seven across four innings to take the loss Saturday against the Rays.
Bundy gave up three runs in the first inning and was lifted after throwing 99 pitches in just four innings. Since boasting a 2.93 ERA on June 3, his ERA has soared to 4.02 in less than a month, and he's becoming a player with significant fantasy risk. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Twins.

Jake Odorizzi SP | TB
Rays' Jake Odorizzi: Earns win in abbreviated start
Odorizzi (5-3) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings to earn the win Saturday against the Orioles.
Odorizzi was provided 10 runs of support and easily cruised to a victory while burning through 111 pitches in just five innings. He's given up exactly three earned runs in five of his last six outings, and his 4.08 ERA make him a somewhat consistent -- if unspectacular -- fantasy option. He'll make his next start Friday against the Red Sox.

Andrew Heaney RP | LAD
Angels' Andrew Heaney: Ready to begin pitching in AZL games
Heaney (elbow) is heading to the AZL Rookie League to begin pitching in games, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
Heaney underwent Tommy John surgery in July of 2016 and figured to miss the entire 2017 campaign, but it appears there's a glimmer of hope for a late-season return. The southpaw has been successfully completing bullpen sessions to build up his arm strength, with an eye towards perhaps beginning a long-term rehab assignment within the minor leagues. Heaney posted a 3.49 ERA and a 6.6 K/9 in 2015, his last full season with the Angels.

Charlie Morton SP | ATL
Astros' Charlie Morton: Making next rehab start Sunday
Morton (lat) is scheduled to make his second rehab start with Double-A Corpus Christi on Sunday, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports.
The plan is for Morton to make his return to the Astros' rotation next Saturday against the Blue Jays, so Sunday's outing will be a telltale sign as to his readiness. The 33-year-old has looked solid in two starts with Triple-A Fresno, allowing just one run over six innings, but may still be shaking off the rust as he builds up his pitch count. Morton has been out with a lat strain since the end of May and figures to resume his starting role in the Houston rotation.

Paul Blackburn RP | NYY
Athletics' Paul Blackburn: Posts excellent outing in Saturday debut
Blackburn (0-0) allowed an unearned run on three hits and one walk while striking out four over six innings, but didn't factor into the decision Saturday against the Braves.
Blackburn had an excellent big-league debut, but due to a lack of run support, he didn't have a chance to pick up his first victory. Should he remain in the rotation, he's worth a flier, but his next start has yet to be determined.
-
Luke Farrell RP | WAS
Royals' Luke Farrell: Struggles in spot start Saturday
Farrell (0-1) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings to take the loss Saturday against the Twins.
Farrell was added to the Royals roster to start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader to make his big-league debut, and he did very little to provide help to the bullpen by failing to finish the third inning. He's not currently expected to make another start for the team in the near future.
-
Jose Berrios SP | TOR
Twins' Jose Berrios: Allows five runs Saturday
Berrios (8-2) allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings and came away with a no-decision Saturday against the Royals.
Berrios blew a 5-1 lead and has now had poor outings in back-to-back starts, raising his ERA from 2.67 to 3.44. He'll try to alleviate the worries of his fantasy owners by turning things around in his next start Thursday against the Orioles.

Cole Hamels SP | SD
Rangers' Cole Hamels: Picks up third win Saturday
Hamels (3-0) allowed two runs on two hits while striking out six across 6.2 innings to earn the win Saturday against the White Sox.
Hamels gave up a two-run homer to Jose Abreu in the first inning before shutting down the White Sox the rest of the way to earn his third victory of the year. After getting roughed up in his previous start when returning from the disabled list with an oblique injury, he looked like the old Cole Hamels this time around. He'll make his next start Friday against the Angels.
