Woo will not start Tuesday's game versus the White Sox, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

The Mariners have not yet said why Woo won't start as scheduled Tuesday, but an update on his status should come in the near future. In the meantime, Jhonathan Diaz will come up from Triple-A Tacoma to start in Woo's place.

Williams (elbow) will make his next rehab start Saturday and is expected to throw about four innings and 65 pitches, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Williams covered three frames during his third rehab outing Sunday and will continue building up his workload this weekend. The right-hander could require another start in the minors after that before joining the Guardians, but he should be ready for his season debut in the majors before the end of June.

Guardians manager Stephen Vogt said Tuesday that Lively (undisclosed) has checked out fine and is expected to make his next turn through the rotation, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

The 32-year-old experienced some unspecified tightness during his start in Miami over the weekend, which resulted in him being lifted after five scoreless innings. Lively hasn't had any issues over the past couple days, putting him on track to start this weekend in Toronto. Cleveland should confirm its pitching plans later in the week.

Flaherty (back), who received an injection Monday and is scheduled to play catch Wednesday, is expected to start this weekend against the Astros if he remains free of setbacks, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

The 28-year-old exited his start last Tuesday due to back tightness and originally lined up to make his next turn through the rotation Tuesday versus Washington, but his spot has been pushed back a few days. Flaherty's throwing session Wednesday should provide some clarity for his availability this weekend.

The Twins recalled Varland from Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday.

Varland will make a spot start Tuesday against the Rockies as the Twins give the regular members of their rotation some extra rest. The right-hander holds a disappointing 9.18 ERA and 18:9 K:BB across 16.2 innings this season in the majors. Varland has posted a 5.31 ERA at St. Paul but has fanned 44 batters over 40.2 frames. He's likely to be sent back down immediately after Tuesday's outing.

Manoah won't require a traditional Tommy John surgery and is instead slated to undergo a hybrid internal brace procedure Monday to repair the sprained UCL in his right elbow, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider had previously disclosed Friday that Manoah would require a season-ending elbow surgery, but Davidi's report provides more specificity regarding the nature of the procedure. Renowned arm specialist Dr. Keith Meister is set to perform the procedure, which involves replacing the UCL and anchoring the new UCL to an internal brace suture. Though the internal brace procedure typically shortens the length of a pitcher's recovery compared to the 12-to-18-month timeline for Tommy John surgery, Davidi notes that Manoah is still expected to be on the shelf "well into next year." The significant arm injury further muddles Manoah's long-term outlook with the Blue Jays, which had already been somewhat murky following a disastrous 2023 campaign in which he posted a 5.87 ERA and 14.2 percent walk rate over 87.1 innings.

Arrighetti allowed one run on four hits and three walks while striking out six batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against San Francisco on Monday.

Arrighetti held the Giants scoreless through five frames and retired the first two batters he faced in the sixth before a walk and a run-scoring triple ended his outing. He fell just short of a quality start but nonetheless impressed in a battle with Giants rookie Kyle Harrison. Arrighetti did struggle a bit with his control again -- he's walked exactly three batters in each of his past four contests and is fifth-worst among qualified starters with a 12.1 percent walk rate on the campaign. The right-hander has put up respectable overall numbers of late, though, posting a 3.19 ERA and 36:16 K:BB over 31 innings across his past six starts.

Estes (2-2) took the loss against San Diego on Monday, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five innings.

Estes managed to get through two scoreless frames but gave up one run in each of his final three innings. Two of the tallies came on solo homers -- one by Jake Cronenworth and the other by Fernando Tatis. Estes had allowed just one run on three hits over 11.1 frames across his previous two starts coming into Monday, and he's allowed one or zero runs in half of his six MLB starts so far this season. That should give him plenty of buffer room in holding onto a big-league starting role, especially considering the injuries that have hit the Athletics' rotation.

Fedde allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Monday.

Fedde was brilliant through seven scoreless frames before Dominic Canzone tagged him for a solo homer leading off the eighth. That spelled the end of Fedde's outing, but he departed in line for the victory with a 4-1 lead. However, Michael Kopech entered and gave up three runs, wiping out the advantage and forcing Fedde to settle for a no-decision. Despite the late letdown, this was nice bounce-back for the right-hander after he gave up seven earned runs across 10 innings over his previous two starts. He's in the midst of a career-best campaign with a 3.10 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB through 81.1 frames.

Gilbert allowed three runs on six hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings in a no-decision against the White Sox on Monday.

Gilbert got through five scoreless frames before Luis Robert tagged him for a two-run homer in the sixth. The righty hurler returned for the seventh and gave up another run on a pair of hits before being pulled with two outs. Though he faded over his final two innings, Gilbert tied his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign and finished with his fifth quality start over his past six outings. However, he hasn't earned any victories over that stretch despite posting a solid 3.52 ERA.
