Triple-A Gwinnett reinstated Anderson (elbow) from its 60-day injured list Thursday.

Anderson made his 2024 debut for Gwinnett on Saturday, when he struck out four over 3.2 innings while giving up four earned runs on six hits and one walk in a no-decision against Charlotte. Before being activated from the IL, Anderson made four rehab starts across three levels, producing a 2.19 ERA and 10:1 K:BB in 12.1 innings over those outings. Anderson owns a 3.99 ERA over 266.1 career innings in the majors and still retains a spot on Atlanta's 40-man roster, but the 26-year-old hasn't appeared in the big leagues since 2022 after opening the 2023 season at Gwinnett and making one start before requiring Tommy John surgery last April. He'll likely need to string together several quality performances at Gwinnett before making a legitimate case for a return to the big leagues.

Atlanta manager Brian Snitker said Sunday that an MRI cleared Fried of any soft-tissue damage before he was placed on the 15-day injured list with left forearm neuritis, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Though anything forearm- or elbow-related for a pitcher always brings some level of concern, the fact that Fried avoided a ligament, tendon or muscular injury following his MRI offers hope that he'll steer clear of extended absence. At the same time, Snitker said that Fried is without an official timeline for a return from the IL and won't resume throwing until his symptoms have dissipated. Fried's injury first cropped up when he felt something in his forearm while warming up for the All-Star Game on Tuesday, but the southpaw was still able to make a one-inning appearance in relief for the National League.

Civale did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing five runs on four hits and four walks over 4.1 innings against the Twins. He struck out four.

Civale allowed homers to Byron Buxton and Trevor Larnach, with Larnach's two-run blast in the fifth representing the biggest blow. The five runs allowed represented the most Civale has given up since the beginning of May. It was also the second time he's allowed multiple homers over his first three starts in Milwaukee, matching his previous total through the first 17 outings when he was still a member of the Rays. Civale has compiled 15.2 innings since joining the Brewers, carrying a 5.74 ERA and 1.53 WHIP. He is slated for a much softer matchup in his next start, tentatively slated to take place at home against the Marlins.

Imanaga allowed one run on two hits across seven innings but did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 2-1, 10-inning win over the Diamondbacks. He walked one and struck out 10.

Imanaga was virtually flawless outside of a Eugenio Suarez solo home run in the seventh inning, but the Cubs didn't score any runs until the ninth, which denied the lefty a chance at his ninth win of the season. Imanaga has had a great debut campaign overall with a 2.86 ERA through 18 starts, and he's been particularly sharp lately, allowing just one run over 13 total innings with 16 strikeouts in his last two outings. He's making a push for NL Rookie of the Year, though Paul Skenes has been outstanding as well and likely has the inside track. Either way, Imanaga has been a solid fantasy asset, and he'll look to keep rolling in his next scheduled start, which is penciled in for Saturday against the Royals.

Rogers came away with a no-decision in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Mets. He gave up two runs (one earned) on five hits, two walks and five strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Rogers allowed just two runners to reach the first time through the Mets' order but wasn't as effective the second time, as he ran into jams in the fourth and fifth innings before being pulled. Sunday marked just the second time in his last nine starts that Rogers didn't pitch at least five innings. The 26-year-old has a streak of eight straight outings in which he has allowed fewer than three runs and has at least five strikeouts in five of those eight appearances.

Scott (0-3) took the loss Sunday against the Marlins. He allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings while striking out four.

Scott got through the first three innings Sunday before running into trouble in the fourth. He allowed the first two runners to reach before serving up a three-run homer to Jazz Chisholm. He wouldn't come back out for the fifth, making it just the second time in his nine career starts that he couldn't get past the fourth inning. Scott has been plagued by the long ball, as he has given up eight home runs in his first 47.1 innings. The 25-year-old is still looking for his first career win and will carry a 4.56 ERA into his next start.

King (8-6) earned the win against Cleveland on Sunday, allowing one run on two hits and a walk over seven innings while striking out six.

For the second time this season, King threw at least six no-hit innings in a start. The 29-year-old was electric over the first six frames before running into some minor trouble in the seventh, giving up his only run. King joined Paul Skenes, Ronel Blanco and Max Fried as the only pitchers with multiple no-hit bids of at least six innings this season. King also became the first Padres pitcher with multiple no-hit bids in a season since Blake Snell in 2021. The veteran has a 3.28 ERA and 1.19 WHIP over 118 innings in his first season in San Diego.

German re-signed Sunday with the Pirates on a minor-league contract, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

German had opted out of his minor-league deal with the Pirates last week, but after canvassing the open market, he's elected to rejoin the organization. His new contract contains an Aug. 9 opt-out clause, so he could choose to pursue free agency once again in three weeks if he's not promoted to the big leagues before then. German has turned in a 5.36 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 48:28 K:BB across 50.1 innings over his 10 starts with Triple-A Indianapolis this season.

Musgrove (elbow) threw 30 pitches in a bullpen session Saturday, the Associated Press reports.

The bullpen was Musgrove's second since he went on the injured list June 1. The right-hander threw almost exclusively fastballs in his first session Wednesday, per MLB.com, and plans to increase his intensity as his throwing sessions progress. Padres manager Mike Shildt said Saturday that Musgrove is "clearly getting closer" to a return, though a target date for his activation hasn't yet been established.

Hall (knee/forearm) will head to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday to resume his rehab assignment, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports.

While it's unclear if Hall is scheduled to pitch Sunday in Nashville's game against Norfolk, the right-hander at least isn't being shut down from throwing any longer after his rehab assignment was extended when he was hit in the left forearm by a comebacker in his last outing July 9. Though Hall has yet to cover more than three innings in any of his nine outings between his first two separate minor-league rehab assignments, general manager Matt Arnold said last Sunday that the southpaw will get stretched back out to start as he resumes pitching with Nashville. Hall had previously made all four of his appearances with Milwaukee as a starter before landing on the injured list April 21 with a left knee sprain.
