  • Caden Dana SP | LAA

Angels' Caden Dana: Fires three scoreless frames

Dana (illness) walked three and recorded three strikeouts over three scoreless innings against Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Dana has been struggling to put together a solid outing after experiencing fatigue related to a January diagnoses of mononucleosis, and while he didn't work deep into Saturday's matchup, he looked much more like himself. He made no mention of feeling fatigued in an interview one day after his start with sideline reporter for the Bees, Sammy Miller, so it looks as though he'll continue to build back up after a slow start to the 2026 campaign.

  • Shane Bieber SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Shane Bieber: Tosses two frames in rehab start

Bieber (elbow) allowed three hits while striking out three batters across two scoreless innings in his rehab start Monday in the rookie-level Florida Complex League.

The appearance marked Bieber's first official game action since the 2025 World Series, as the right-hander has been on the shelf all season due to inflammation in his surgically repaired elbow. After his two-inning outing Monday, Bieber is expected to build up to three innings in his next rehab start, per Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca. Bieber is eligible to come off the 60-day injured list at any time, but he'll likely need to get stretched out to around five innings and 75 pitches before he's deemed ready to enter the big-league rotation.

  • Rays' Shane McClanahan: Bounces back in no-decision

McClanahan took a no-decision Monday against the Orioles, allowing no runs on three hits and two walks in 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

After coughing up four runs in his last start against Baltimore, McClanahan got right back on track in Monday's rematch. The 29-year-old southpaw delivered his fifth scoreless outing in his last six appearances, scattering three singles on the afternoon, but the three strikeouts were a season low. McClanahan is set for another start later this week at home against the Angels, now holding a strong 2.52 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 50:19 K:BB over 50 innings.

  • Kyle Bradish SP | BAL

Orioles' Kyle Bradish: Fires six innings of one-run ball

Bradish took a no-decision Monday against the Rays, allowing one run on five hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out three.

Bradish was cruising along on the mound Monday until Jonathan Aranda took him deep in the sixth inning, putting a slight damper on an otherwise excellent performance by the hurler. It was just the third time this year that the 29-year-old right-hander gave up one run or zero, and he's now worked at least five innings in seven of his last eight outings. Bradish is set to wrap up a two-start week against the division-rival Blue Jays this weekend, when he'll try to further improve on a 3.86 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 61:30 K:BB over 58.1 frames.

  • Jose Quintana SP | COL

Rockies' Jose Quintana: Lands on IL with sprained elbow

The Rockies placed Quintana on the 15-day injured list Monday with a left elbow sprain.

Quintana exited Sunday's start against the Diamondbacks in the second inning with a sore elbow, and an MRI has revealed ligament damage. It's unclear at this point whether the veteran hurler will need surgery or attempt to rest and rehab the injury, but even if it's the latter he's likely looking at an extended absence. Quintana has been limited to nine starts this season because of hamstring and now elbow problems, and he's collected an unsightly 5.27 ERA and 20:17 K:BB over 41 innings.

  • Max Scherzer SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Max Scherzer: Scheduled for another live session

Scherzer (forearm) is slated to face live hitters in Toronto on Wednesday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Scherzer landed on the 15-day injured list in late April due to right forearm tendinitis and left ankle inflammation, and he's also been dealing with tight thumb issue. He's progressed enough in his recovery to throw live batting practice, and the Blue Jays should have a better sense of the veteran right-handers recovery timeline following Wednesday's workout.

  • Hunter Brown SP | HOU

Astros' Hunter Brown: Shifting rehab to Triple-A

Brown (shoulder) will make his next rehab start this weekend at Triple-A Sugar Land, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Brown opened his rehab assignment Sunday with Double-A Corpus Christie, when he struck out five batters while allowing one hit across two scoreless innings. He'll make his next rehab start in Triple-A and is aiming to be activated from the 60-day injured list in mid-June, per McTaggart. Brown is in the final stages of his recovery from a Grade 2 right shoulder strain that landed him on the IL in early April.

  • Tyler Glasnow SP | LAD

    Dodgers' Tyler Glasnow: Resumes throwing

Glasnow (back) played catch Monday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Glasnow had to be shut down for a bit after his back flared up on him when he was playing catch, but he's progressed enough to start tossing the ball around again. He will likely need to throw on flat ground at least a couple more times before progressing to mound work. A timetable for Glasnow's return to the Dodgers' rotation won't become clearer until he's throwing off the bump without issue.

  • Dylan Cease SP | TOR

Blue Jays' Dylan Cease: Lands on IL with strained hamstring

The Blue Jays placed Cease on the 15-day injured list Monday with a mild left hamstring strain, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Cease had to be pulled from Sunday's outing versus the Pirates after tweaking his hamstring. The strain being deemed minor should give him a chance to return around the time he's eligible, but the Blue Jays will need someone to fill Cease's spot in the rotation for at least one turn.

  • Pirates' Carmen Mlodzinski: Holds Cubs in check Monday

Mlodzinski took a no-decision Monday against the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out two.

Mlodzinski is on a strong run on the hill of late, tossing at least five innings while yielding two runs or fewer in four consecutive starts. The 27-year-old right-hander fanned a career-high 10 during his May 2 outing against the Reds, but he's tallied just six punchouts altogether across his past four appearances. Mlodzinski should still carry some streaming appeal this weekend against the Twins, posting a 3.76 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 46:20 K:BB across 55 innings.
