Bassitt gave up five hits and four walks over five scoreless innings in a no-decision Wednesday against the Brewers. He struck out five.

It didn't come easy for Bassitt, as he had to contend with the bases loaded in both the first and fourth innings, though he'd manage to escape unscathed. After a shaky start to the year, the 35-year-old Bassitt's been solid since the start of May, pitching to a 2.25 ERA over his last eight outings. Overall, he's 6-6 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 75:32 K:BB across 78.1 innings this season. Bassitt is currently in line to face the Red Sox at home in his next outing.

Lodolo (7-2) earned the win against the Guardians on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

After retiring the first three batters he faced, Lodolo had traffic on the bases all night but limited the damage to just two runs. Lodolo even hit two batters, but he was able to battle for his fourth consecutive win and third straight quality start. Despite two stints on the injured list, Lodolo has had a huge bounceback season and now owns a 2.93 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 62:15 K:BB through 10 starts. He tentatively lines up to face the Pirates next Monday.

Civale did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Civale loaded the bases in the first inning but got out of the jam and pitched well other than a solo home run by Seiya Suzuki in the fourth inning. Civale left the game an out shy of a quality start with a 2-1 lead, but a Cody Bellinger three-run homer in the seventh prevented him from earning his first win since April 9. On the season, Civale now owns a 5.20 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 74:20 K:BB in 14 starts and lines up to start next Tuesday against the Twins.

Assad did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Tampa Bay, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks with four strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Assad opened with two scoreless frames then allowed a run in the third on a double by Isaac Paredes and another on a solo home run by Jose Siri in the fourth. With two runners on and two outs in the fifth, Assad was pulled at 90 pitches with a 2-1 deficit. Since his last win on May 15, Assad has failed to reach six innings or record a win in five straight outings and has seen his ERA climb from 1.49 to 2.81. He tentatively lines up for a home matchup against the Giants next Monday.

Silseth (elbow) struck out three and gave up six earned runs on four hits and five walks over 2.2 innings Tuesday in his rehab start with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Silseth struck out 10 over seven shutout innings between his first two rehab outings in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, but he struggled with both his control and command Tuesday while shifting his rehab to a higher-level affiliate. The Angels had hoped that he would build up to about five innings in Tuesday's rehab outing, but he fell well short of that benchmark, even though he pushed up his pitch count to 71 (35 strikes) after tossing 56 pitches in his prior outing in the ACL. Though Silseth could be a candidate to return from the 60-day injured list to rejoin the big-league rotation as soon as Sunday in San Francisco, the Angels may prefer to have him make one more start in the minors to iron out his control.

Lively (undisclosed) is listed as the Guardians' probable starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays in Toronto.

Lively experienced some unspecified tightness during his most recent start in Miami on Saturday, when he tossed five shutout innings prior to being lifted. The issue won't result in Lively's turn being skipped, but he'll be pushed back in the schedule and given a full week off before stepping back into the rotation. After joining the Guardians this offseason on a modest one-year, $750,000 contract, Lively has been a valuable piece of the Cleveland rotation in 2024, going 6-2 with a 2.59 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 55.2 innings across 10 starts.

Single-A Visalia activated Savino (shoulder) from the 7-day injured list and assigned him to the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on May 23.

Savino had already made four rehab appearances in the ACL before being activated. After he missed the entire 2023 season while recovering from shoulder surgery, Savino will get some extended time in rookie ball to hone his control before he reports to a full-season affiliate. Through eight appearances (six starts) in the ACL thus far, Savino has posted an 0.69 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB in 13 innings.

Myers (3-2) earned the win Wednesday over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out four.

A Davis Schneider homer in the first inning accounted for all the damage against Myers on Wednesday. The rookie right-hander has made two starts since he was recalled from Triple-A in late May, allowing just one run on four hits over 14 innings. The 25-year-old Myers has certainly made a case to stick in the Brewers rotation due to Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all being sidelined. He's currently lined up to face the Angels at home in his next outing.

Manager Dave Roberts said Wednesday that Yamamoto's next start will be pushed back from Thursday against the Rangers in Los Angeles to Saturday's home game versus Kansas City, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

The Dodgers haven't announced a replacement starter for Thursday's contest, but they will give the rookie right-hander an extra couple of days to rest up after he threw a season-high 106 pitches across seven scoreless innings during his last outing against the Yankees on June 7. The 25-year-old has put up a 2.50 ERA and 1.11 WHIP alongside a 22:5 K:BB across 18 innings over his last three starts.

Gomber (1-4) took the loss Wednesday against the Twins, allowing eight runs on 11 hits and a walk over three innings. He struck out two.

The Twins got to Gomber early Wednesday, scoring five times in the first inning before the left-hander was charged with another three runs before recording an out in the fourth. Gomber's now surrendered 15 runs over just 11 innings in his last three starts after working to a 0.67 ERA in his previous four outings. Overall, the 30-year-old left-hander sports a 4.26 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP and 49:22 K:BB across 69.2 innings this year. Gomber will look to right the ship in his next start, though he's currently in line for a tough matchup with the Dodgers at Coors Field.
