The White Sox optioned Schweitzer to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Schweitzer was brought up for his MLB debut Wednesday, but he'll be sent back to the minors after giving up one earned run on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings against the Orioles. Duncan Davitt and Brandon Eisert will join the White Sox's bullpen to replace Schweitzer and the injured Chris Murphy (elbow).

Sproat is no longer listed among the Brewers' scheduled starters for this weekend's series versus the Nationals, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Sproat's turn had been slated to come up Saturday, but the Brewers will push Kyle Harrison and Brandon Woodruff each up to start the final two games of the series. The Brewers didn't reveal the reason behind the decision, though it could simply be the team taking advantage of the off day Thursday to push back or skip a struggling starter. Sproat has allowed 11 runs with a 7:7 K:BB through his first 6.2 innings this season.

The Royals optioned Avila to Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Avila surrendered five earned runs in just three innings during his season debut against the Brewers on Saturday. He found more success after moving to the bullpen for his next outing, giving up just one run in three frames against Cleveland on Wednesday, but the Royals will remove him from their active roster nonetheless. Mitch Spence will come up from Omaha in a corresponding move to fill Kansas City's need for a multi-inning reliever.

The Royals recalled Spence from Triple-A Omaha on Thursday.

Spence gave up eight earned runs over seven innings during spring training but looked much better during his first start at Triple-A, tossing five shutout innings while allowing four hits and no walks. Now back in the big leagues, the 27-year-old righty will presumably work in a long-relief role, replacing Luinder Avila.

The Dodgers released Nastrini on Tuesday.

Nastrini held an 8.56 ERA and 49:50 K:BB over 47.1 innings at the Triple-A level last season. This season, he made only one appearance with Double-A Tulsa, walking all three batters he faced. The 26-year-old has always had control problems, but they've gotten so bad to this point that he might have the yips.

Rodon (elbow/hamstring) threw a 40-pitch bullpen session Thursday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Rodon felt normal soreness after his previous bullpen session this past weekend, but it seems he got through Thursday's workout with no hiccups. The Yankees will wait to see how the southpaw bounces back before determining the next step, but Rodon should be nearing a rehab assignment. He's coming back from offseason elbow surgery, and he's also dealt with some hamstring tightness of late.

Cole (elbow) will face hitters at High-A Hudson Valley on Sunday, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

It could be the final step for Cole before he's cleared to begin a rehab assignment, though the Yankees have yet to confirm as much. Making his way back from Tommy John surgery, Cole made a couple Grapefruit League appearances, but he will still require several rehab starts before rejoining the Yankees' rotation. The former Cy Young winner is expected to make his season debut sometime in May.

The Brewers optioned Drohan to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Drohan permitted three runs on three hits and four walks over 2.2 innings against the Red Sox on Wednesday in his major-league debut. The Brewers have not announced a corresponding roster move, but they're expected to bring up a reliever prior to Friday's game versus the Nationals.

Falter (elbow) began playing catch Monday, MLB.com reports.

Falter was placed on the injured list Friday due to left elbow inflammation, specifically valgus extension overload that causes pain when extending the elbow. After receiving an injection, the southpaw began playing catch, with a bullpen session likely next in his rehab progression, though there is no clear timeline. Prior to landing on the injured list, Falter had been working out of the bullpen for the Royals and allowed five runs across 3.1 innings to begin the regular season.

High-A Eugene placed Bostick on the 60-day injured list March 18 due to a ruptured Achilles, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

He suffered the injury over the offseason and will miss the entire 2026 season. Bostick had a 3.71 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 139:39 K:BB in 119 innings at High-A last year as a 23-year-old.
