Lopez isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Jumps early on Giants
Perdomo went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 5-3 win over the Giants.
Perdomo put San Francisco on its back foot early, connecting on a leadoff homer in the first inning and then delivering a run-scoring single on his next at-bat one inning later. Despite a recent four-hit game, the shortstop's bat has been relatively quiet since the end of August; he entered Wednesday's game 8-for-47 (.170) over the previous 12 contests. The slump does nothing to diminish Perdomo's contributions in the second half, as he's slashed .319/.406/.465 since the All-Star break and is up to 18 home runs, 93 RBI and 25 steals over 146 games.

Mookie Betts RF | LAD
Dodgers' Mookie Betts: Continues late-season surge
Betts with 4-for-5 with a grand slam and an RBI double in Wednesday's 9-0 victory versus the Rockies.
Betts contributed to a four-run Los Angeles second inning with a double that drove home Shohei Ohtani. Betts then broke the game open with a grand slam that made the score 8-0 in the eighth inning. The big game marked the fifth straight multi-RBI effort by the talented shortstop. Extending further, Betts has reached base in 16 consecutive contests, batting .381 (24-for-63) with five homers, 17 RBI and nine runs scored over that span.

Ryan Ritter SS | COL
Rockies' Ryan Ritter: Absent from Wednesday's lineup
Ritter (undisclosed) is not in the Rockies' starting lineup against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Sitting Wednesday
Winn (knee) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Winn is expected to continue to play through a meniscus tear in his right knee that will require surgery during the offseason, but the Cardinals will keep him on the bench Wednesday for a third straight game. Thomas Saggese will start at shortstop for St. Louis while Jose Fermin mans the keystone; meanwhile, Winn will aim to return to the starting nine Friday in Milwaukee.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Resumes light baseball activities
Bogaerts (foot) has resumed light baseball activities this week, MLB.com reports.
Bogaerts is just under two weeks removed from suffering a non-displaced fracture in his left foot, so he will be eased along slowly. The Padres are hopeful of getting their shortstop back in late September or early October, so Bogaerts will probably play only in the last few regular-season games in a best-case scenario. Jose Iglesias has been filling in at shortstop for San Diego.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Nationals' CJ Abrams: Swipes 29th bag
Abrams went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Marlins.
The shortstop extended a modest hitting streak to six games while swiping his 29th bag of the year, leaving him one shy of his third straight 30-steal campaign. Abrams remains in a power drought, having not homered since Aug. 23, but over 14 games since then he's slashing .302/.362/.415 with six doubles, three steals, two RBI and eight runs.

Masyn Winn SS | STL
Cardinals' Masyn Winn: Needs offseason knee surgery
Winn has been diagnosed with a meniscus tear in his right knee that will require arthroscopic surgery over the offseason, but he plans to continue playing through the issue, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.
Winn has dealt with nagging soreness in the knee for much of the season and it has caused him to miss games here and there, including Tuesday's 5-3 loss to the Mariners. However, the shortstop has been told it's unlikely he'll do additional damage if he plays through the injury, so his availability will continue to be evaluated on a day-to-day basis. The impending surgery isn't expected to affect his offseason routine or his readiness for spring training. Winn is slashing .253/.310/.363 with nine home runs and nine stolen bases in 2025, and he leads all of baseball with 22 Outs Above Average, per Statcast.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Giants' Willy Adames: Sets tone with early homer
Adames went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks.
Adames cashed in when the Giants were able to put their first two batters on base in the first inning, crushing a three-run home run off Zac Gallen. This homer is part of a larger surge that has seen Adames launch six long balls over his last 12 games while going 14-for-43 (.326) in that span. On the year, the shortstop has a .230/.318/.432 slash line with 28 homers, 81 RBI, 87 runs scored, nine stolen bases, 19 doubles and two triples across 143 games.
