Rojas (leg) went 0-for-2 at the plate after subbing in at third base in the sixth inning during Friday's loss to the Pirates.

Rojas returned to action Friday after missing more than a week with leg tightness. The 28-year-old is slashing .256/.327/.302 in 17 games this season and should continue to offer depth around the infield for the Marlins.

Gordon is not in the lineup Friday against the Pirates, Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald reports.

It will be the veteran's first off day this season, as Derek Dietrich makes the start at the keystone. Gordon is hitting a sharp .281 at the plate, notching 13 runs scored and leading the team with four stolen bases. He will look to build on his four-game hitting streak upon his return to the lineup.

Seager went 1-for-3 with two walks and his fifth home run of the season in Thursday's 5-1 win over the Giants.

The 23-year-old continues to impress early on, taking a pitch to the opposite field for a home run for the second consecutive day, this time off the left-handed Matt Moore. The lefty understandably has better batting average splits against righties (.392) than against southpaws (.206) this season, but he has been able to maintain his power (two homers) and plate discipline (9:5 K:BB) against pitchers of the same handedness. Seager has been as advertised this season, ranking second among shortstops in home runs (five) and RBI (17) while carrying a .318 batting average.

Owings went 2-for-3 with a pair of solo homers and added a stolen base in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Padres.

This is beginning to look like a breakout season for Owings, whose four homers on the campaign already put him two off a career best. The boost in power coupled with Owings' contributions as a base stealer make him a true five-category threat while he maintains a lofty .325 average for the season. Owings has been the beneficiary of a .379 BABIP -- more than 50 points above his career mark -- but even with some expected regression in batting average to come, he's unlikely to be a liability in the category.

Story went 0-for-3 with a run during Thursday's loss to Washington.

Now sporting a .175/.267/.375 slash line through 90 plate appearances to start the season, Story stands out as one of the biggest early-season bust candidates going. Young players often endure plenty of peaks and valleys early in their careers, through, and Story's monstrous showing last season probably affords him a little longer leash than most. On the flip side, this might also prove to be a buy-low point. He does have the benefit of calling Coors Field home, after all.

Diaz is not in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays.

Diaz managed to go just 1-for-6 in Thursday's first game and has gone 1-for-11 over his last two outings. He'll head to the bench for the Cardinals' second game Thursday while Greg Garcia starts at shortstop.

Turner went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two RBI and three runs in Colorado on Wednesday.

He's been killing it in this series at Coors, as Turner's now 8-for-15 with three doubles, a triple, two homers, nine RBI and eight runs in three games. Great news: The Nats draw one more game at Coors on Thursday for Turner to keep padding his stats.

Crawford (groin) will be reevaluated upon his return from the bereavement list Friday, Andrew Baggarly of MLB Press Box reports.

Crawford didn't have time to get an MRI before leaving for a family funeral, so he'll get checked out once he returns. If he's forced to hit the disabled list, it will be retroactive to Tuesday. More should be known about his status come Friday.

Arcia went 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and three RBI during Wednesday's win over Cincinnati.

It was easily the best game of the season for the young shortstop, and the three RBI doubled Arcia's total to six for the year. His glove is going to keep him in the lineup, and Milwaukee is proving to be an admirable offense this year, so there is certainly low-end value. However, expecting significant improvement on Arcia's current .229/.260/.371 slash line will likely prove to be ill-advised.

Crawford (groin) was placed on the bereavement list Wednesday, the San Jose Mercury News' Andrew Baggarly reports.

He has to miss a minimum of three games and a maximum of seven, so he could be back this weekend against the Padres. This happens to coincide with him dealing with a groin injury, so ideally he will also have time to heal while he is attending to personal matters. Kelby Tomlinson was recalled to take his spot at shortstop in the short term.
