Francisco Lindor SS | NYM
Mets' Francisco Lindor: Launches 14th homer
Lindor went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Marlins.
His towering blast off Steven Okert in the eighth inning gave the Mets their final gasp of offense on the night. Lindor is struggling again, batting only .226 (7-for-31) through the first eight games in July, and on the season the shortstop is slashing .240/.318/.417 with 14 homers, nine steals, 49 runs and 58 RBI through 83 contests.

Trevor Story SS | BOS
Red Sox's Trevor Story: Launches 15th homer
Story went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 12-5 loss to the Yankees.
He took Nestor Cortes deep in the fourth inning, but the Red Sox were already staring into a 9-2 deficit at that point. Story has gone yard three times during his five-game hit streak, and while the surge has only lifted his slash line on the year to .224/.295/.432, he's still been productive with 15 homers, 10 steals, 46 runs and 55 RBI through 77 contests.

Geraldo Perdomo SS | ARI
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Crosses home three times
Perdomo went 2-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored in Friday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies.
Perdomo scored every time he reached base. The rookie shortstop, who is batting .202, maintains an acceptable .305 on-base percentage thanks to a 12.2 BB% (31 walks over 259 plate appearances). Perdomo is emerging from an 0-for-27 stretch, going 7-for-31 (.226) with a double, an RBI and six runs scored over his last nine games.

Diego Castillo 3B | MIN
Pirates' Diego Castillo: Blasts 10th home run
Castillo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in a 4-3 loss to the Brewers on Friday.
Castillo was the only Pirate who could get to Brewers starter Aaron Ashby, and he did so in a big way with a two-run shot to left-center. The backup utility player now has 10 long balls on the season to go along with 23 RBI in 205 at bats. Despite showing a bit of pop in his bat, Castillo has struggled to get on base all season long and sports a meager .244 OBP. He is likely to remain in a backup role unless he can improve his 5.1 percent walk rate.

Willy Adames SS | SF
Brewers' Willy Adames: Belts 17th homer
Adames went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-3 win over the Pirates on Friday.
Adames went deep for his 17th home run of the season to help power the Brewers to victory. The 26-year-old shortstop is slashing a meager .179/.281/.429 with only five hits in seven games in July. Despite struggling to make contact and get on base this year, Adames is on pace to set career highs in home runs and RBI.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Swings hot bat again Friday
Crawford went 2-for-5 with an RBI double and a run in an extra-innings win over the Blue Jays on Friday.
Crawford came through with a man on again, as his third-inning two-bagger plated Julio Rodriguez to snap a 1-1 tie. The veteran shortstop has delivered some timely hits of late and now boasts a six-game hitting streak that dates back to June 28.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Drills three-run shot
Seager went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Friday's 6-5 win over Minnesota.
Seager drilled his home run off Caleb Thielbar as part of the Rangers' six-run fifth inning. He's 5-for-12 with two homers and six RBI over his last three games, improving his season slash line to .237/.308/.433 through 347 plate appearances. He's up to 17 long balls this year, surpassing his 2021 total in 16 fewer games.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Remains out of lineup
Pena (undisclosed) isn't starting Friday's game against the Athletics.
Pena was scratched from Thursday's lineup due to the league's health and safety protocols, and he'll remain out of the starting nine for a second consecutive game. The 24-year-old traveled with the team to Oakland, so he should be considered day-to-day for now. Mauricio Dubon is starting at shortstop and batting eighth.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Phillies' Johan Camargo: Starting rehab stint
Camargo (knee) reported to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday to begin a rehab assignment.
Camargo has been on the shelf with a right knee strain since June 29, so he shouldn't require much time in the minors to get back up to speed. The 28-year-old should reclaim a utility role for the Phillies once reinstated from the injured list.

Carlos Correa SS | HOU
Twins' Carlos Correa: Back in action Friday
Correa (leg) is starting at shortstop and batting second Friday against the Rangers, Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic reports.
The 28-year-old was held out Wednesday due to some tightness in his legs, but he will rejoin the lineup Friday following Minnesota's scheduled day off Thursday. Correa is 0-for-12 with an RBI, a run, five walks and three strikeouts over his past four games.
