Jon Berti 3B | CHC
Marlins' Jon Berti: Back on bench
Berti is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Berti made his third start in the Marlins' eight games this season in Saturday's 10-3 loss, going 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored. The speedy 32-year-old is expected to continue working in a utility role for Miami this season, with most of his starting opportunities coming when the Marlins want to rest one of their two lefty-hitting everyday infielders -- Jazz Chisholm and Joey Wendle -- against a lefty starting pitcher.

Johan Camargo SS | SF
Phillies' Johan Camargo: Emerging as preferred option at 3B
Camargo will start at third base and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Marlins, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Heading into the season, Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm were expected to vie for most of the starts at third base, but Camargo might have leapfrogged both players on the depth chart at this stage. Camargo will stick in the lineup for the sixth game in a row, with five of his starts coming at third base. Stott, meanwhile, had started in each of the previous five games, with his last three assignments coming at the keystone while Jean Segura (hand) was sidelined. With Segura back in action Sunday, however, Stott will head to the bench while Camargo sticks at the hot corner after producing a .724 OPS through his first 24 plate appearances of the season.

Corey Seager SS | TEX
Rangers' Corey Seager: Day off Sunday
Seager is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Seager started the first eight games of the season but will receive his first day off for the series finale versus the Halos. Marcus Semien will shift over to shortstop while Charlie Culberson starts at the keystone Sunday.

Trea Turner SS | PHI
Dodgers' Trea Turner: Three hits, homer
Turner went 3-for-4 with two-run home run in a 5-2 win against Cincinnati on Saturday.
Turner singled in the first and seventh innings and homered in the sixth off Cincinnati starter Hunter Greene to give Los Angeles a lead it wouldn't relinquish. The 28-year-old shortstop has been scorching of late with three consecutive multi-hit games and is 7-for-13 with a triple and a home run in that stretch.

Jeremy Pena SS | HOU
Astros' Jeremy Pena: Set for breather Sunday
Pena will not be in Sunday's lineup against the Mariners, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
This is a planned day off for Pena, as manager Dusty Baker has rotated rest days for all regulars in the lineup early this season. Pena had another strong night at the dish Saturday, collecting three hits and a triple with two runs scored an RBI. He's now hitting .345 on the season across 32 plate appearances. Aledmys Diaz will get the start at shortstop Sunday in Pena's absence, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Red Sox's Xander Bogaerts: Socks first homer of 2022
Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 4-0 win over the Twins.
His third-inning shot off Josh Winder capped the scoring on the day. Bogaerts has had a sluggish start to the season, with Saturday's blast being his first homer to go along with a .222/.276/.370 slash line, but the shortstop's track record indicates he will pick up the pace soon enough.

David Fletcher 2B | ATL
Angels' David Fletcher: No timetable for return
Fletcher (hip) isn't traveling with the Angels on their current road trip and does not currently have a timetable for a return, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
According to head athletic trainer Mike Frostad, Fletcher has remained in Anaheim to receive treatment on the left hip that first began to bother him near the end of spring training. The infielder was placed on the injured list April 12 and is eligible to return April 22, but it's unclear if he'll be healthy enough to play by that date. Fletcher went 1-for-13 over five games prior to the trip to the IL.

C.J. Abrams SS | WAS
Padres' CJ Abrams: Gets start in right field
Abrams made his first major-league start in right field against the Braves on Friday and went 0-for-2 with a run and a stolen base in the loss.
Abrams saw some time in right field during spring training, but until Friday he had made all five of his starts this season at shortstop. The need for the position switch arose due to Wil Myers' thumb injury, and Abrams handled the role fine, having no issues on his three putouts. He also achieved a milestone with his first stolen base as a major leaguer after being hit by a pitch in the fifth inning. If he can demonstrate the ability to handle right field, Abrams could increase his likelihood to stick with the big club even after Fernando Tatis (wrist) returns from his injury. Myers remains out of the lineup Saturday, but Abrams is back at shortstop with Matt Beaty taking over in right field.

Javier Baez SS | DET
Tigers' Javier Baez: Placed on 10-day IL
Baez (thumb) was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday, retroactive to April 13.
Baez had already been ruled out for the Tigers' final two matchups against Kansas City, and the team will ultimately elect to place him on the injured list since he hasn't made enough progress since aggravating his thumb injury. Since the move was backdated to Wednesday, the 29-year-old will be eligible to return as early as next weekend, but it's not yet clear whether he'll be able to do so. Harold Castro has filled in at shortstop recently and should continue to see additional playing time during Baez's IL stint.

Joey Wendle 2B | ATL
Marlins' Joey Wendle: On bench against lefty
Wendle isn't starting Saturday's game against the Phillies, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Left-hander Ranger Suarez is starting for Philadelphia on Saturday, so Wendle will be out of the lineup as the Marlins exclusively start right-handed hitters. Brian Anderson will start at third base and bat sixth.
