Bogaerts is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against Toronto for the second consecutive game.

Manager Alex Cora said that the shortstop was simply getting a normal day off Monday, but Bogaerts' absence from the lineup again Tuesday strongly points toward him dealing with at least a minor issue. Boston will likely provide an additional update later Tuesday, but for the time being, Bogaerts can be considered day-to-day.

The Brewers will recall Reyes from Triple-A Nashville prior to Tuesday's game against the Pirates, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

He'll join the active roster as a replacement for Jace Peterson, who was placed on the COVID-19-related injured list after being deemed a close contact of Christian Yelich, who tested positive for the virus. While he's up with Milwaukee, Reyes is expected to serve as a utility man, with most of his starting opportunities likely to come against left-handed pitching.

Correa went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, an RBI and two runs in Monday's 11-8 loss to the Mariners.

The two-hit day ended a 3-for-46 skid over the past 13 games for Correa, who has seen his season average plummet 30 points to .270 amid the massive slide. The 26-year-old isn't in any jeopardy of losing hold of the everyday gig at shortstop, but his midsummer swoon could lessen the Astros' willingness to offer him a long-term contract extension before he becomes an unrestricted free agent this winter.

Crawford went 3-for-4, was hit by a pitch and scored two runs in Monday's win over the Astros.

The big day at the dish was badly needed for Crawford, who had gone 2-for-30 over his previous seven games. He should temporarily regain some security as Seattle's leadoff man after Monday's performance, but Crawford could be at risk of falling in the order if the playoff-contending Mariners add an impact bat ahead of Friday's trade deadline.

Bichette went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 5-4 loss to Boston.

Bichette went deep off Boston starter Nick Pivetta in the fifth inning. The shortstop has homered twice in his last three games, but just three times in July. He's slashing .296/.347/.485 with 18 long balls, 67 RBI, 77 runs scored and 13 stolen bases through 424 plate appearances as an everyday fixture in the lineup.

Castillo and Hoy Park were traded from the Yankees to the Pirates on Monday in exchange for right-hander Clay Holmes.

Castillo advanced to Double-A Somerset to begin the season, and he's slashed .277/.345/.504 with 11 homers, 44 runs, 32 RBI and seven stolen bases across 58 games. The 23-year-old will likely report to Double-A Altoona.

Diaz (hand) was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

The veteran infielder has been sidelined since early June with a fractured left hand, but he'll rejoin the active roster Monday after a six-game rehab stint. Diaz should fill a utility role now that he's healthy and could split time at third base with Abraham Toro until Alex Bregman (quadriceps), who begins a rehab assignment Monday, is activated from the injured list.

Baez (heel) is out of the lineup Monday against the Reds.

Baez was removed from Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks due to the injury and will be out of the lineup for at least one contest. Manager David Ross initially labeled it a lower body injury, but it's apparently a bruised heel that cropped up when he stepped awkwardly on a base, per Gordon Wittenmyer of NBC Sports Chicago. Nico Hoerner will shift to shortstop Monday while David Bote starts at the keystone.

Mets acting general manager Zack Scott said Monday that he believes the right oblique strain that landed Lindor on the 10-day injured list July 17 is a 3-to-5-week injury, Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reports.

If that recovery timeline is accurate, Lindor won't be ready to return to action until the Mets' Aug. 6 to 8 series in Philadelphia, in a best-case scenario. Before the Mets are able to pin down a more defined target date for Lindor's return, he'll first have to resume baseball activities. Lindor has yet to take any meaningful steps forward in his recovery since being shut down with the oblique strain just over a week ago.

Crawford is hitting .067 (2-for-30) with a walk, a run and a 32.3 percent strikeout rate over his last seven games.

The previously hot-hitting shortstop is stuck in a serious funk, and he's gone without an extra-base hit in his last 11 contests overall. Despite the sudden across-the-board plunge, Crawford's season average and on-base percentage check in at a serviceable .263 and .323, respectively; moreover, his recent trouble making contact is a clear outlier, considering his strikeout rate still sits at a modest 17.0 percent.
