Story went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI Wednesday against the Mariners.

Story went yard in both the fourth and eighth innings to record his first multi-homer game of the season. The effort brought his total on the campaign to eight, three of which have come in his last three games. To this point, Story has delivered an underwhelming .259/.332/.444 line across 262 plate appearances, though he's also chipped in a very valuable 13 stolen bases.

Ahmed is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.

Josh Rojas will fill in at shortstop for Ahmed, who appears to be receiving a routine breather for the day game after a night game. Ahmed had started in each of the Diamondbacks' previous six games, going 3-for-19 with a pair of runs.

Williams is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

On the bench versus a right-handed starting pitcher (Erick Fedde) for the second day in a row, Williams looks like he won't be in line for an everyday role at the keystone while Jean Segura (groin) is on the shelf. Instead, the lefty-hitting Brad Miller looks poised to draw most of the starts at the position versus right-handed pitching, leaving the righty-hitting Williams to fill a short-side platoon role.

Bogaerts went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and scored two runs in Tuesday's 9-5 extra-innings win over the Rays.

The Red Sox scored runs in two innings -- a five-run third and four-run 11th -- and Bogaerts took part in both rallies, including his fifth steal of the season. He emerged from a slumber earlier this month and is slashing .365/.417/.603 over the last 17 games.

Bichette went 0-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Marlins.

The shortstop helped manufacture the Jays' first run of the game in the sixth inning. After being hit by a pitch, he swiped second, advanced to third on a wild pitch and then trotted home on a Vladimir Guerrero single. Bichette's .276 batting average remains a little below expectations but he leads the majors with 60 runs scored, and his 14 homers, 11 steals and 47 RBI through 71 games aren't too shabby either.

Swanson went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Mets.

His third-inning blast off Yennsy Diaz came after Marcus Stroman (hip) made an early exit for the Mets, and it ended up providing the only offense in the game. Swanson continues to struggle with consistent contact as he's batting .227 (17-for-75) in June, but he's still produced a solid 12 homers, 31 runs and 33 RBI through 72 games on the season.

Crawford went 3-for-3 with a double and a walk in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Angels.

While Crawford didn't knock in any runs or score in Tuesday's win, he still put in a good effort at the dish. The shortstop is now 6-for-15 (.400) across his last four games, putting his slump from last week to rest. He's posted a .260/.347/.548 slash line with 16 home runs, 48 RBI, 39 runs scored and five stolen bases through 239 plate appearances overall as a near-everyday option.

Franco went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, a double, a walk and two runs in Tuesday's 9-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Franco showed that he was worth all the hype Tuesday, slamming a game-tying three-run home run in the fifth inning for his first career hit and adding a hustle double. The 20-year-old looked like a veteran in his first plate appearance, drawing a walk on four straight balls after being down 0-2 in the count. The sky's the limit for Franco, but don't be surprised if he goes through some rough patches in his rookie campaign.

Owings was activated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Owings began a rehab assignment last week and will rejoin the active roster after missing more than two months due to thumb surgery. He went 8-for-15 with three triples, three doubles, three RBI, two stolen bases and six runs in seven games prior to the injury. Now that he's back, he should fill a utility role for the Rockies. The 29-year-old is available off the bench for Tuesday's game at Seattle.

Correa is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Orioles, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa has not been reported to be dealing with a physical issue, so this appears to be just a normal day off. Robel Garcia will start at shortstop and bat second Tuesday.
