Berti will start at third base and bat seventh Thursday against the Giants, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Berti figures to see a significant increase in playing time with Brian Anderson (oblique) forced to the injured list. While he's gotten off to a slow start with the bat -- he has only six hits in 38 plate appearances -- Berti could be a source of stolen bases if he can get on base at a strong enough clip.

Crawford (side) isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Marlins, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Crawford exited Wednesday's game against the Phillies and is now considered day-to-day after he was diagnosed with rib cage tightness. Mauricio Dubon will start at shortstop Thursday, batting eighth.

Wendle doubled home a run in his first and last at-bats of the evening while driving in his third run on a sacrifice fly in the fifth. The 30-year-old continues to be one of the hottest hitters in baseball at the moment with a slash line of .365/.388/.619 to go along with three home runs, seven doubles, 15 RBI and 16 runs scored. His only concerning stat is a 1:12 BB:K, as he needs to do a better job at working the count against pitchers.

Lindor went 3-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 16-4 loss to the Cubs.

Lindor's bat finally came alive Wednesday night after he went hitless in each of the last three games. The 27-year-old kicked things off for the Mets by capitalizing on a hanging changeup and skying it into the right field bleachers to give his team an early 1-0 lead. Lindor added two more singles later in the game and came around to score once on a Pete Alonso home run in the fifth. Despite the blowout loss, it was an encouraging effort at the plate from Lindor, as he launched his first long ball in a Mets uniform and recorded his second multi-hit game of the year. His slash line now stands at .222/.357/.311 with three home runs, three RBI, eight runs scored and an impressive 9:4 BB:K.

Bogaerts went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Toronto on Wedneday.

The star shortstop went 15 contests without a home run to begin the campaign, but Wednesday's solo blast to left field was his second in as many games. Bogaerts has been hitting well this season -- he is slashing .385/.429/.585 -- and a power surge will help further cement his status as one of the game's top offensive shortstops.

Baez went 1-for-4 with a grand slam and three runs scored in Wednesday's 16-4 win over the Mets.

Baez made the most out of his one hit, popping his fifth home run of the season in the sixth inning with the bases loaded. The shortstop is still batting just .203, but he now has 16 RBI in 17 games, and he should continue to see his numbers improve as he settles in at the plate.

Turner went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 1-0 win over the Cardinals.

The shortstop has turned on the afterburners, swiping four bags in the last six games, while also racking up four multi-hit performances in his last eight contests. Turner's hot streak has boosted his slash line on the season to .302/.343/.540 with four homers, five steals, seven runs and eight RBI.

Crawford left Wednesday's game against the Phillies due to tightness in his right side, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Donovan Solano suffered a calf injury in the same game and manager Gabe Kapler said he was likely headed to the injured list, but the skipper made no such comment regarding Crawford, so it sounds like he is day-to-day for now. If Crawford does miss time, Mauricio Dubon would be the likely starter at shortstop.

Anderson went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-5 win over Cleveland.

Anderson took Zach Plesac deep in the third inning for his third homer and second in last three games. The shortstop has a 1.174 OPS since coming off the injured list and has hit safely every game except the one in which he was injured. For the season, Anderson is slashing .342/.342/.605.
