Arcia isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

Arcia doubled home a run Monday night in the series opener, but with Cory Spangenberg swinging a hot bat, he'll catch a breather. Spangenberg draws the start at shortstop and is set to hit ninth.

Story went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk Monday in the Rockies' 9-4 win over the Mets.

Story's 33rd home run of the season punctuated a five-run inning for the Rockies, who rolled to their fourth consecutive win. The shortstop will hit leadoff in Tuesday's contest and looks poised to hold down that spot in the lineup for the rest of the season with manager Bud Black having seemingly settled on Charlie Blackmon as the team's cleanup batter.

Ahmed (finger) is starting at shortstop and batting seventh Tuesday against Miami.

Ahmed had to leave Monday evening's contest after injuring a finger on his throwing hand, but he's been cleared to return to action Tuesday. He went 0-for-3 at the dish in the series opener prior to exiting.

Chang isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Tigers.

Chang was also held out of Sunday's matchup, so following a team off day, he'll receive a third straight day of rest. Mike Freeman gets the call at the hot corner and will hit fifth.

Velazquez was recalled from Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Velazquez will take the place of Jason Kipnis, who will miss the remainder of the season due to a fractured hand. Velazquez is set to start at second base and hit ninth Tuesday against Detroit.

Correa (back) will start at shortstop and bat seventh Tuesday against the Rangers, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Correa completed a short rehab stint with Triple-A Round Rock, and he's since been cleared to return from the 10-day injured list. He's been sidelined since Aug. 20 due to a back issue. Houston will have the luxury of easing Correa back into action with the playoffs still a few weeks away.

Ahmed (finger) was confident following Monday's game that he will be available to play Tuesday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Ahmed was removed from Monday's game when a hard-hit groundball took a bad hop and split the nail on his right middle finger. "If it stopped bleeding, I would have stayed in the game and been fine," said Ahmed. "It was bleeding all over my pants. It would have been bleeding on the ball if it was hit to me. Unfortunately, I had to come out right there." Ahmed, who mentioned at least three times to reporters that he would be fine, has played in 34 consecutive games.

Ahmed left Monday's game against the Marlins with a finger injury, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Ahmed suffered the injury while trying to field a grounder with his bare hand, and after being examined by the team trainer, he was forced to depart. He'll be considered day-to-day until another update is released.

Anderson will sit Monday in Minnesota.

Anderson has carried a hot bat down the stretch in his search for a batting title, hitting .375/.394/.578 over his last 14 games. He leads DJ LeMahieu by four points (.332 to .328) in the race for the American League crown. Danny Mendick will start at shortstop Monday.

Edman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Brewers on Sunday.

Edman joined in on the fun of the Cardinals' four-homer barrage with a 367-foot shot to right in the ninth with Yadier Molina aboard to bring St. Louis within a run. The rookie has left the yard in back-to-back games for the first time in his career and has reached safely in nine of the last 10 contests overall.
