The rookie's dazzling start to his MLB career continues. Bichette has now smashed a double in eight straight games, setting a new Jays record in the process, and through his first 10 big-league games, he's slashing a ridiculous .409/.458/.795.

Story went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 14-3 loss to the Astros.

The shortstop took Gerrit Cole deep in the first inning -- the last time the Rockies would hold a lead in the rout -- to give Story four homers in his last five games and 26 on the year. The surge has pushed the 26-year-old's slash line up to .282/.347/.562 on the season.

Baez left Wednesday's game against the Athletics after fouling a ball off his leg, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.

Baez was able to complete his at-bat but did not take the field for the following half-inning. The Cubs owned an eight-run lead when he left the game, so it's possible the team was simply being overly cautious with one of its starters. An update on the nature and severity of his injury should come after the game.

Adames went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-6 win over the Blue Jays.

Adames has provided one third of his 15 home runs on the season in the last nine games, rewarding those who stuck with him during what had been a mostly brutal July. He'll stick in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale, but his role as the Rays' No. 9 hitter hinders his run-scoring and run-producing upside to some degree even while he's wielding a hot bat.

Garcia (shoulder) went 1-for-3 with a double and a stolen base in High-A Daytona's loss to Florida on Tuesday.

A slide into second base Saturday resulted in a shoulder injury and led to a brief absence from the lineup, but Garcia seems be fine now. The steal was his ninth in 11 attempts, and he has now hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games with Daytona. His .727 OPS ranks third on the team among players with 100 plate appearances.

Rojas (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.

Rojas exited Tuesday's game against the Mets with a right hamstring strain, and a subsequent MRI confirmed the issue is serious enough to keep the shortstop on the shelf for at least the next 10 days. Deven Marrero was summoned from Triple-A New Orleans in a corresponding move, while Jon Berti, who is starting at shortstop Wednesday, will likely fill in at shortstop while Rojas is on the shelf.

Rojas (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

While the Marlins haven't announced any roster moves yet, Rojas looks like he could be headed to the injured list, as another infielder (Deven Marrero) is up from Triple-A New Orleans as a member of the taxi squad, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald. Rojas was diagnosed with a strained right hamstring following his departure from Tuesday's 5-0 loss, but the Marlins are still awaiting the results of an MRI before putting a timeline on his return. Jon Berti will get the starting nod at shortstop and as the Marlins' leadoff man Wednesday and should be in line to fill those duties for the duration of Rojas' absence.

The steal was his first in the big leagues, but the double was his 10th extra-base hit, making him the first player in MLB history with double-digit XBH in his first nine games. Per Dawn Klemish of MLB.com, Bichette also set a new Jays record by beginning his career with a nine-game hitting streak, and tied Carlos Delgado's franchise record with a double in seven straight contests.

Berti will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Wednesday against the Mets, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

The rookie will enter the starting nine for the sixth time in seven games at his third different position. Berti's versatility should give him a clear path to semi-regular work the rest of the way even when the Marlins are at full strength, but Miguel Rojas' (hamstring) seemingly imminent move to the injured list should open up shortstop for the 29-year-old on an everyday basis. Berti also has a decent with an extended look in the leadoff role after posting a .400 on-base percentage to go with three steals in three attempts since returning from his own stint on the IL in late July.

Turner went 2-for-2 with a solo home run, two runs and a walk in the Nationals' 5-3 win over the Giants on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old posted a big day from atop the order, reaching base in all four of his plate appearances and cranking his 10th long ball of the season with a fifth-inning solo blast off Conner Menez. The performance boosts his slash line up to .285/.348/.481 across 338 plate appearances.
