Fletcher went 3-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-7 loss to the Rangers.

The infielder is thriving in the leadoff spot for the Angels. Fletcher has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games, slashing a blistering .386/.438/.523 over that stretch while crossing the plate 12 times. He's made minimal contributions in other fantasy categories (just five homers and eight steals over 122 games on the year), but he could be a valuable source of runs down the stretch.

Diaz (head) took batting practice and fielded grounders Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.

Diaz was sent to the hospital over the weekend after experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness, though he was quickly released and has since resumed baseball activities. The utility man may go out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment over the weekend; either way, it sounds like he's tracking towards a brief stay on the shelf.

Mondesi (shoulder) is scheduled to play between three and five innings in the field for Triple-A Omaha on Wednesday, Lynn Worthy of The Kansas City Star reports.

Mondesi kicked off his rehab assignment Tuesday, going 0-for-4 as the DH in what was his first game action since suffering a left shoulder subluxation in mid-July. Assuming everything goes off without a hitch in his return to the field Wednesday, Mondesi will log a similar allotment of time at shortstop Thursday before being reevaluated. The Royals will then decide whether Mondesi will DH again on Friday or receive an off day. The 24-year-old is tracking toward a return from the injured list at the end of August or beginning of September.

Swanson (foot) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Rome on Thursday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

He has been sidelined since July 23, and while his recovery has not been as smooth as expected, Swanson is on track to rejoin the team when rosters expand in September. He will be deployed initially as the designated hitter for his first rehab game. In the meantime, Adeiny Hechavarria and Charlie Culberson will get starts at shortstop.

Berti went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday in the Marlins' 5-1 loss to the Braves.

Berti's third-inning blast was the only production the Marlins could muster against Braves lefty Dallas Keuchel, who otherwise kept Miami off the board though six frames before turning the game over to the bullpen. Though the Marlins' leadoff man has provided solo shots in two of the past three games, his main value for fantasy purposes will come on the basepaths. Berti has gone 5-for-6 on steal attempts through 40 contests this season.

Bogaerts (ankle) is starting at shortstop and hitting third Wednesday against the Phillies, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Bogaerts won't be forced to miss any time after twisting his ankle during Tuesday's loss to the Phillies. The shortstop, who is slashing .271/.311/.529 with four home runs and a steal in 14 games this month, will face lefty Drew Smyly in Wednesday's series finale.

Seager went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI in Tuesday's 16-3 win over the Blue Jays.

The shortstop was one of seven Dodgers to reach base multiple times on a night in which the team reached double digits in runs for the sixth time in the second half. Though Seager has largely failed to live up to draft-day expectations this season, he's beginning to catch fire at the plate. Over his last eight games, he's batting .344 with three home runs and six doubles while striking out only twice.

Edman is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Brewers.

Edman has started the past five games for the Cardinals and gone 7-for-22 with one home run and one steal. He'll give way to Harrison Bader in the outfield in this one.

Bichette went 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs Tuesday in the Blue Jays' 16-3 loss to the Dodgers.

Bichette took Clayton Kershaw deep twice in what was an otherwise stellar night for the Dodgers ace, who passed Sandy Koufax on the all-time wins list. Just 21 games into his big-league career, the rookie shortstop is already looking like a future star. He's already compiled 19 extra-base hits (12 doubles, seven home runs) in only 98 plate appearances.

Manager Kevin Cash said Wendle was still feeling his wrist injury during his rehab game with Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wendle went 0-for-4 while playing all nine innings at third base in Durham's loss to Charlotte. The utility man apparently didn't feel 100 percent and may take a day off before resuming his rehab stint, depending on how he responds to treatment Wednesday. It sounds like Wendle will have to play through the issue for the remainder of the season, though he likely won't need to be shut down because of it.
