Seager is hitting cleanup against the Padres on Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Seager drops from second to fourth in the order for this matchup against San Diego's Eric Lauer. He'll look to get it rolling at the plate as he has just one hit in his last 24 at-bats, but the left-handed Lauer could present him with a tough matchup, as Seager is just 6-for-39 against southpaws this season.

Garcia exited Thursday's game for High-A Daytona with an elbow injury, Tortugas play-by-play announcer Justin Rocke reports.

He was hit by a pitch on the elbow in the first inning and did not return after a rain delay in the second inning. Garcia has not yet been placed on the injured list, so he should be considered day-to-day.

Diaz started at third base and went 2-for-4 in Thursday's 8-2 loss to the Twins.

The start was Diaz's third straight, following a start at first base and his first-career start in left field. Manager AJ Hinch has had difficulty trying to find him regular at-bats, so this may be a concerted effort to get Diaz's bat going. The 28-year-old utility player has hit groundballs on 53.7 percent of his batted balls, 13 points higher than his rate as a regular with the Blue Jays last season and nearly 10 points higher than his career rate. Unless Houston has to deal with a starter's injury, Diaz will need to be content playing 2-to-3 times per week.

Manager Dave Martinez said Turner (finger) could resume swinging this week, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Martinez stated that Turner is progressing on schedule, though he failed to offer an updated timetable for the 25-year-old's return. Carter Kieboom should continue to fill in at shortstop until Turner is back to full health. Look for his estimated return date to come into focus once he's able to ramp up his baseball activities.

DeJong is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

He'll be on the bench for the first time this season after starting at shortstop in each of the Cardinals' 30 games to date. Yairo Munoz gets the starting nod in place of DeJong, who will put his 11-game hitting streak on hold until Friday against the Cubs unless he's summoned from the bench in the series finale.

Camargo will start at third base and bat sixth Thursday against the Padres.

He'll stick in the lineup for the third straight contest and the seventh time in eight games. Camargo's ability to play multiple infield and outfield positions has helped him pick up steady playing time despite the lack of an everyday role at any spot, but his path to regular action at third base could come to an end soon with Josh Donaldson (calf) expected to rejoin the starting nine this weekend in Miami.

Swanson will start at shortstop and bat second Thursday against the Padres.

The Braves will deploy Swanson out of the two hole for the third straight game, but he'll likely fall in the order this weekend, when Josh Donaldson (calf) is expected to rejoin the lineup. Swanson at least hasn't looked out of place as the No. 2 hitter with two extra-base knocks in those contests, including a three-run home run Wednesday.

Correa is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Twins, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The star shortstop will pick up a scheduled rest day with the Astros concluding their series in Minnesota with a day game after a night contest. Alex Bregman will shift over from third base to cover Correa's usual spot in the field, opening up a spot in the lineup for Aledmys Diaz.

Berti got the start at third base and hit seventh Wednesday, going 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in a win over Cleveland.

The 29-year-old minor-league veteran has been getting regular playing time lately with Neil Walker (hamstring) and Garrett Cooper (hand) both banged up, and Berti has started to find his footing in the majors, going 5-for-16 with two walks over the last five games. He could become a base-stealing threat down the road -- he swiped 30 bags on 40 attempts across three levels last year -- but for now his fantasy value is limited.

Diaz started in left field and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Twins.

Manager AJ Hinch wanted to rest Michael Brantley and Josh Reddick, a pair of left-handed hitters, so the right-handed hitting Diaz was part of an all-righty lineup against Minnesota southpaw Martin Perez. It was the second straight day that Diaz has been in the starting lineup, his first back-to-back starts since the first two games of the season. The Astros' original plan was to have Diaz get ample time in the outfield, though the idea was scuttled during spring training, per Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle.
